Ways to improve Decennial Mineral Exploration Conferences
editHi, I'm Nick Moyes. Ianneilmacleod, thanks for creating Decennial Mineral Exploration Conferences!
I've just tagged the page, using our page curation tools, as having some issues to fix. I fail to see the notability of this conference series. Without independent sources that talk about them in depth, this article is liable to be put up for deletion, I'm afraid.
The tags can be removed by you or another editor once the issues they mention are addressed. If you have questions, you can leave a comment on my talk page. Or, for more editing help, talk to the volunteers at the Teahouse.

Hi Nick Moyes (talk · contribs), thanks for your help. Agreed on perception of the opening stub. I have added more context and independent references, as well as linking from a number of pages already in wikipedia that reference conference proceedings. I hope this raises the article to a more desirable standard. Within our community these decennial technical conferences stand very high, well above the annual conferences due to the 10-year period and the fact that the technical content is by invitation only. I have reached out to the broader community to test the level of support expecting that my personal bias will be supported. I too am on the cusp of retirement and I hope to be able to contribute more to Wikipedia over time, so please be tolerant of my early stumbles.
I feel I have a conflict of interest in removing the tags, but if I get verification from someone I will happily remove them.
