Hello and welcome to Wikipedia. Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. The following links will help you begin editing on Wikipedia:

Please bear these points in mind while editing Wikipedia

The Wikipedia tutorial is a good place to start learning about Wikipedia. If you have any questions, see the help pages, add a question to the village pump or ask me on my talk page. By the way, you can sign your name on Talk and discussion pages using four tildes, like this: ~~~~ (the software will replace them with your signature and the date). Again, welcome!   Please stop attacking other editors, as you did on Talk:Permadeath. If you continue, you may be blocked from editing. Comment on content, not on other contributors or people. Please do not call your fellow editors "retarded" or suggest that they are not qualified to edit an article. NinjaRobotPirate (talk) 16:35, 16 February 2016 (UTC)Reply

You are not qualified to edit an article if you instruct others on a topic you are not knowledgeable on. You are vandalizing the article in question. An edit can't be made in good faith when the editors clearly demonstrate a lack of knowledge on the subject. This is vandalism. Please stop.

Accusing good-faith contributors of vandalism is a personal attack in and of itself. You'd be wise to refrain from doing that. See also WP:AGF and WP:BATTLEGROUND. 24.92.131.182 (talk) 04:04, 19 February 2016 (UTC)Reply

Accusing me of a personal attack is harassment. You can't assume good faith if good faith is no longer being demonstrated. The entry in question has a long history of erroneous edits and the entire article is suggested to be rewritten. I am trying to be helpful in clarifying finer points of the topic and the editors are being insubordinate in my attempts to do so which are in harmony with a website that relies upon user contributions. Consider this a warning that your behavior and attitude is not helpful to the discussion and you can be blocked for that. What the other editors are trying to explain is that you need to find reliable third party sourcing that affirms Path of Exile had permadeath, with a source that comes from the VG project's source list. I don't think anyone disagrees how Path of Exile's death approach on certain modes is like permadeath, but it's not used as an example of permadeath commonly by mainstream sources that I can see from a quick google search. Note that the editors are noting that not every single game that has a permadeath mode should be included but only those that routinely are covered to have permadeath. If you can find sources that have PoE's mods as permadeath from the sources list, you will be in a much better shape to argue for its inclusion. Otherwise, while you, they, and I may know it as gamers, it fails WP:V. --MASEM (t) 23:42, 19 February 2016 (UTC)Reply

Gamepedia isn't listed anywhere on there as an unreliable source They are a part of Curse, Inc. The community wiki is an official resource on the Path of Exile homepage. The information contained within it mirrors the information given by the developers of the game. But I digress, I also recently cited the developers themselves on the permadeath talk page. I await further clarification.

Warning!

edit

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Permadeath. Users are expected to collaborate with others, to avoid editing disruptively, and to try to reach a consensus rather than repeatedly undoing other users' edits once it is known that there is a disagreement.

Please be particularly aware that Wikipedia's policy on edit warring states:

  1. Edit warring is disruptive regardless of how many reverts you have made.
  2. Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.

If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes; work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If you engage in an edit war, you may be blocked from editing. 95.57.188.117 (talk) 04:01, 20 February 2016 (UTC)Reply

Meaning of your account name

edit

It appears that you created an account with this name in order to ridicule other editors (Icameheretolaughatyou). Your only contributions are to the Permadeath article where you seem to be in a constant edit war. Your reverts there are reminiscent of User:Darek555 who was recently blocked for edit warring. Like you, he insisted that Path of exile was an example of permadeath. Can you explain why you too should not be blocked, for edit warring and having an inappropriate user name? EdJohnston (talk) 04:54, 20 February 2016 (UTC)Reply

Interesting definition of edit warring you got there. I've only made one minor edit ever and it was at the suggestion of another user after extensive discussion beforehand on the talk page.Icameheretolaughatyou (talk) 06:28, 20 February 2016 (UTC)Reply
You have restored your material twice at the Permadeath article. On the talk page, nobody supports Path of exile as an example of permadeath. Do you intend to continue reverting to enforce your position? EdJohnston (talk) 15:37, 20 February 2016 (UTC)Reply

As I clearly stated and you failed to read, I edited the page at the suggestion of another user. I reverted the change made because I thought someone was vandalizing my edit. I learned after the fact they weren't and am now discussing the change on the talk page. Stop harassing me, thanks.

Edit conflict

edit

Hey! Make sure to not overwrite other editor's comments when saving a page with an edit conflict: [1] and [2]. I restored the two posts on the talk page. See Help:Edit conflict for more info. You would want to copy your addition into the current version (but not all of the page so as not to "delete" the new additions). —  HELLKNOWZ  ▎TALK 22:36, 20 February 2016 (UTC)Reply

Your account has been blocked indefinitely because the chosen username is a clear violation of our username policy – it is obviously profane; threatens, attacks or impersonates another person; or suggests that you do not intend to contribute positively to the encyclopedia (see our blocking and username policies for more information).

We invite everyone to contribute constructively to our encyclopedia, but users are not allowed to edit with inappropriate usernames and we do not tolerate 'bad faith' editing such as trolling or other disruptive behavior. If you think there are good reasons why these don't describe your account, or why you should be unblocked, you are welcome to appeal this block – read our guide to appealing blocks to understand more about unblock requests, and then add the text {{unblock-un|new username|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}} at the end of your user talk page.
