Managing a conflict of interest

Hello, Icareaboutart. Thank-you Lemongirl942 for the note. I appreciate that conflict of interest could be a problem. I am not related to Sharon Christian in any way whatsoever. I work for the National Institutes of Health as a scientist. I have disclosed my interest in Christian's work on the delete page, and I invite you to read it carefully as I have already addressed the COI concern. I'll explain what you're allowed to do and what you're not allowed to do, although I attempted to do that in my edit summary, IIRC. First example. You post a comment to a user's Talk page. You change your mind, and before the other user has responded, you remove the comment. That is okay. Second example. You post a comment to a user's Talk page. They respond to you. You don't think what you originally said is relevant or whatever, and you remove your comment and the user's response. That is not acceptable. Once the user has responded, you can't remove the section. You can however post a comment why you think your original comments are no longer important, but only the user who owns the Talk page can remove it if they wish to do so.--Bbb23 (talk) 02:33, 10 September 2016 (UTC)
