List of Singapore MRT stations TFL

[edit]

Hi, Icepinner. Nobody nominated the list you worked on for TFL; it was instead one of my picks. I saw the list on a table of recently promoted FLs and thought the page was interesting, so I decided to choose it for an open slot. Although the blurb you worked on is probably a bit longer than we'd usually use, I'll see what I can do as far as incorporating something on the architecture. We can probably fit another sentence or two on top of what's there now. Giants2008 (Talk) 01:45, 13 August 2026 (UTC)Reply

(talk page stalker) Hello!
Firstly, thanks for putting the list on the queue! While I would like this to be on 7 Nov (where the MRT first opened), that would not be a Mon/Wed/Fri, so I'm fine with Aug 28 as the scheduled date (it's also the month where we celebrate our independence, so yeah).
Secondly, for the image, the Buangkok MRT station image has significantly changed since that picture was taken, so it would be preferred if a different station's image was used.
(While writing this comment, I realised that the image selection was taken from the List of Singapore MRT stations#In operation section, @Icepinner would it be possible if the image selection be changed so that we could showcase the architectural features since you would like that mentioned in the blurb?)
Thirdly, if we do end up with more than one suitable image, and a special request, I know, could we try randomising the image in the TFA box?
PS: your username reminds of one of the National Day songs... Hason-LEK-🇸🇬💬🧱🧪 01:05, 14 August 2026 (UTC)Reply
I see, thank you for the clarification, Giants2008. I am honoured that personally picked my list of TFL. Hason-LEK-SIN, regarding the image, I actually chose an image of Bras Basah MRT station's roof in my sandbox since it's directly mentioned in the article as an example of the sophisticated architecture of the later MRT stations, though I am open to other images of station architecture, including Buangkok... the sky bridge of Changi Airport MRT station or the exterior of any station is in my top choices. I actually prefer if we don't change the image for Buangkok station since the white sail roof is the most notable architectural aspect of Buangkok. Regarding an image randomiser for the TFL box... it's an interesting proposal, and I wouldn't mind it, but Giants and the other TFL coordinators would have a better idea of whether to implement it or not. Exit B, left intact
I forgot ZKang already took a photo of Exit B and replaced the Exit A one. We could do with that. Hason-LEK-🇸🇬💬🧱🧪 09:34, 14 August 2026 (UTC)Reply
Actually, looking at WP:TFAODD, it seems that some TFAs had image randomisers, so that gives me more confidence that this can be implemented. Icepinner (Come to Hakurei Shrine!) 16:36, 18 August 2026 (UTC)Reply
I've done the randomiser in my transport sandbox, feel free to take a look or @Giants2008 include it to the TFL entry. Hason-LEK-🇸🇬💬🧱🧪 02:30, 19 August 2026 (UTC)Reply
I know that TFA has only used image randomizers in very rare circumstances, and I can't remember TFL using them off the top of my head. I'd like to stick with one good image for the blurb. If Icepinner thinks the one we have in there now is good, let's go with that. Giants2008 (Talk) 15:22, 23 August 2026 (UTC)Reply

Deletion tags

[edit]

Hello, when tagging transcluded pages such as templates for deletion, please remember to wrap the tag in <noinclude>tag</noinclude> to avoid the template accidentally tagging another page for deletion, in this case it looked like you wanted to delete your user page. Thanks :) ASUKITE 15:15, 20 August 2026 (UTC)Reply

Thank you for notifying, Asukite. Very useful nugget of wisdom as I continue my userpage clean-up rampage! Icepinner (Come to Hakurei Shrine!) 15:23, 20 August 2026 (UTC)Reply
