Theistic Evolution
editWelcome to Wikipedia! I can see from your recent edits to Theistic evolution that you've not only changed your vandal ways, but you have a clear and effective writing style. Be careful with marking changes as "minor"; usually that is reserved for very simple changes, like correcting typos or adding wikilinks. If you've added a full sentence or more, it's almost always best not to mark it minor. Have fun!--ragesoss 04:09, 19 January 2006 (UTC)
Just a quick note to say thanks for your excellent contributions to the Invasion article. It's appreciated. Keep up the good work! Kafziel 05:32, 25 January 2006 (UTC)
Image copyright problem with Image:0530.gif
editThanks for uploading Image:0530.gif. The image has been identified as not specifying the copyright status of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. If you don't indicate the copyright status of the image on the image's description page, using an appropriate copyright tag, it may be deleted some time in the next seven days. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided copyright information for them as well.

Ian Gillis
editSome of the people, places or things you have written about in the article Ian Gillis may not be sufficiently well-known to merit articles of their own. The Wikipedia community welcomes newcomers, and encourages them to become Wikipedians. On Wikipedia, each user is entitled to a user page in which they can describe themselves, and this article's content may be incorporated into that page. However, to merit inclusion in the encyclopedia proper, a subject must be notable. We encourage you to write or improve articles on notable subjects. Vegaswikian 02:17, 21 April 2006 (UT
Ok but did you take time to actually read what I said in the discussion before arbitrarily deleting the article? Wikipedia:Notability (people) states that the notability standards are not official wikipedai policy. If you also took a quick glance at my user page you might have realized that I have edited/started many viable articles and I am contrary to your belief not a bumbling newcomer.--Ian 02:29, 21 April 2006 (UTC)
- Yes, I read the article and in my opinion it did nothing to assert the criteria listed in WP:BIO. While that may only be a guideline, it does not mean that editors should ignore it. You may also want to review Wikipedia:Deletion of vanity articles. If you really believe that the article should be kept, you can have my decision reviewed at deletion review and others will look at the article and make a consensus decision. As to the text above, it is generated by a standard template for vanity articles. If the wording can be improved, the talk page for the template is the place for that discussion. If you are aware of a better template, please let me know. Vegaswikian 06:11, 21 April 2006 (UTC)

editHi. You asked about a pro-life user template. See Template:User Pro-life. --CBDunkerson 01:21, 24 April 2006 (UTC)
Template List
editThanks for the heads up on the Pro-Life template. I was wondering if you could direct me to a list of all available templates? Thanks again--Ian 01:58, 24 April 2006 (UTC)
- Assuming you mean userbox templates see Wikipedia:Userbox. That has links to different sub-categories and also to a complete list. --CBDunkerson 11:34, 24 April 2006 (UTC)
Image copyright problem with Image:A10 strike.jpg
editThanks for uploading Image:A10 strike.jpg. However, the image may soon be deleted unless we can determine the copyright holder and copyright status. The Wikimedia Foundation is very careful about the images included in Wikipedia because of copyright law (see Wikipedia's Copyright policy).
The copyright holder is usually the creator, the creator's employer, or the last person who was transferred ownership rights. Copyright information on images is signified using copyright templates. The three basic license types on Wikipedia are open content, public domain, and fair use. Find the appropriate template in Wikipedia:Image copyright tags and place it on the image page like this: {{TemplateName}}
.
Please signify the copyright information on any other images you have uploaded or will upload. Remember that images without this important information can be deleted by an administrator. If you have any questions, feel free to contact me, or ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Sue Anne 06:41, 29 April 2006 (UTC)
The image is a released Air Force photo and I tagged it as such. --Ian 19:22, 30 April 2006 (UTC)

Re: User:64.9.11.246
editThis is the Pennridge High School network IP address (my school) it has been blocked many times for the actions of various students. I would sugest that you stop acting like your dealing with one person and that anyone logged on bothers to read the warnings or even cares. Maybe just block it permanently. --Ian 23:32, 14 May 2006 (UTC)
Hey, thanks for the note. Rarely do we permablock IP addresses; if, however, it is the wish of school officials that the IP be permanently blocked, please have one of them make contact for further action at WP:ABUSE. Thanks again. :) RadioKirk talk to me 23:36, 14 May 2006 (UTC)
Middle Ages did not call younger members of royal families as princes and princesses
editplease check the ongoing discussion about "princess" title on Talk:Margaret of Connaught - it will have implications that many medieval women will soon get the courtesy prefix "princess" before their names in article names. ObRoy 21:36, 26 May 2006 (UTC)
Go Away, Dumb Evangelical Nutcase
editAs part of the vast Right Wing Conspiracy and a dastardly conservative I was part of this white washing whoo hah ha!! Lets not kid ourselves here nothing Roger Ailes did was a criminal act or is not now public knowledge. Its called politics and both parities are guilty of the same things. I think conservatives have better things to do then cover up for Ailes on a Wikipedia article when such info is already available all over the net if however blown out of proportion for political gain. Ailes is not and never has been an elected official so in the grand political scheme trashing him won’t make a lot of difference. I don't think most Americans even remeber Willie Horton and I think the incident has been confined to the Valary Plane trash heap of History.--Ian 01:53, 19 July 2006 (UTC)
Don't leave messages on my page to spew cliche Republican sarcastic quips. You're just a kid and you're an evangelical, i.e. a religious fanatic with little common sense. Find something better to do with your time. Try blaming gays and abortion for the problems in your life and leave the editing of articles to adults. --69.249.195.232 15:08, 19 July 2006 (UTC)
Sure I’ll leave editing up to anonymous user adults who make childish comments. I was trying to be civil by interjecting some humor and I didn’t think you would stoop to criticizing my religious beliefs. If I wasn’t a Christian I wouldn’t have been as nice in the first place. I have to thank you though for proving exactly whats wrong with America’s left by leaving that response. Jesus Loves You --Ian 01:18, 23 July 2006 (UTC)
Welcome to wiki
editDon’t be so bleak welcome to wikipedia! I was reading your user page and I saw what you said about America’s hypocrisy. Don’t always believe what our liberal news media says, the majority of American’s including myself support the IDF’s actions. I’ve even seen some of my friends with IDF T-shirts. As a Christian I see the Jews as my brothers and sisters (Jesus was a Jew) and I believe they have every right to defend the land that was given to them millennia ago by God. I am glad to see Isreal has the courage to face terrorism no matter what the world says. GOD BLESS ISREAL!! --Ian 00:00, 12 August 2006 (UTC)
- Hello!!! Thank you, it's always nice to hear this kind of things. I really hope that your opinion is indeed the major one, but the problem is that it doesn't seem so. Even if the US supports Israel, there are still Europe and the UN which don't really hide their opinions on Israel.
- Today the leader of a known Christian stream (Evangelical, I think) visited Israel, in Metula and other bombed areas. He said things that even our leaders don't say, and as I said before, it warms my heart to be hear this. I personally see Israel as America's messenger in the Middle East, so I expect America to reciprocate and support us.
- We must not forget, we have a common enemy and we must defeat him a.s.a.p. Europe is blind, but they'll wake up sometime. We've already been hit and we must strike back hard as we can, we can't treat Terror with patience. In Hebrew we say "Never feel sorry for cruels".
- I would like to hear from you again. Thank you and GOD BLESS ISRAEL!!! Good night (at least here).
- P.S. I'm sorry about my lousy English. Tio 22:17, 12 August 2006 (UTC)

Accusations
editIt is an accusation --Zonerocks 06:40, 20 August 2006 (UTC)
I have added a "{{prod}}" template to the article Biology: The Unity and Diversity of Life, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but I don't believe it satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and I've explained why in the deletion notice (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). Please either work to improve the article if the topic is worthy of inclusion in Wikipedia, or, if you disagree with the notice, discuss the issues at its talk page. Removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, but the article may still be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached, or if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria. Greetings. We seem to have similar interest (ie VRWC). Please do me a favor and keep on eye on the Tammy Bruce article. Thanks! Jerry G. Sweeton Jr. 17:58, 6 April 2007 (UTC)
Hi. When you uploaded Image:Lab_Photo.jpg, you did not specify complete source and copyright information. Another user subsequently tagged it with {{GFDL-presumed}} and for some time, it has existed on Wikipedia under the assumption that you created the image, and that, just as with all of your text contributions, you agreed to license it under the GFDL. This assumption, however well-meaning, is not legally sufficient and the tag is being phased out. Images using it are being deleted.
This image has been tagged for deletion and will be deleted in one week if adequate copyright information is not provided.
If you, personally, are the author of this content, meaning that you took the photograph yourself or you created the chart yourself (and it does not use any clipart that you did not create), please retag the image with a free image copyright tag that correctly describes your licensing intentions, usually {{GFDL-self}} or {{PD-self}}. Please also make sure if you have not already done so that you write a good description of what the image depicts, when you took the photo, and other important details. This will allow Wikipedia to continue using the image.
If you did not create the image or if it is derived from the copyrighted works of others, please keep in mind that most images on the internet are copyrighted and are not suitable for use on Wikipedia. Wikipedia respects the copyrights of others and does not use images unless we know that they have been freely licensed. Any creative work is automatically copyrighted, even if it lacks a copyright notice. Unless the copyright holder has specifically disclaimed their rights to the image and released it under the GFDL or another compatible license, we cannot use it. If you did not create the image, simply do nothing and it will be deleted in a week.
Please feel free to contact me on my talk page if I can be of assistance or leave a message at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions with any questions you may have. Thank you. MER-C 09:28, 19 May 2007 (UTC)

Disputed fair use rationale for Image:Eleventh Ad.jpg
editThanks for uploading Image:Eleventh Ad.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot (talk) 20:42, 13 February 2008 (UTC)

Virginia Tech Project Invite
editHi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
