Welcome!

edit

Hello, Igorsemenov1993, and welcome to Wikipedia! My name is Adam and I work with the Wiki Education Foundation; I help support students who are editing as part of a class assignment.

I hope you enjoy editing here. If you haven't already done so, please check out the student training library, which introduces you to editing and Wikipedia's core principles. You may also want to check out the Teahouse, a community of Wikipedia editors dedicated to helping new users. Below are some resources to help you get started editing.

Hi, Igorsemenov1993. What can I help you with? Adam (Wiki Ed) (talk) 18:49, 24 February 2016 (UTC)Reply

Draft moved

edit

I've moved the material you placed here to a draft page, User:Igorsemenov1993/exchange. You can make edits to that page and because it is not a talk page, you'll be able to use the VisualEditor, which is a bit easier than the wikicode editor you see on talk pages. As you build your draft, one thing I would strongly recommend is taking a look at existing Wikipedia articles to see how they are structured and written. Is this draft intended to be a new article or an addition to an existing article? Adam (Wiki Ed) (talk) 20:42, 25 February 2016 (UTC)Reply

Exchange students

edit

Hi, Igorsemenov1993. The page you've created, Exchange students' challenges, is being discussed for a merger here.

Your article may be merged in to International student, as exchange students could be considered a subset of international students. If that happens, your work will not be removed and will still be counted on the dashboard. An editor there, WikiDan61, is trying to show you that what you've created has a lot of material copied or thinly edited from sources you're using, rather than summaries of content in your own words. I don't know at this point how much of what you've written on exchange students will be carried over to the other article, but if you take a look at the areas WikiDan has pointed out and re-write them in your own words (after removing the copied material) I bet that much more of it will be included.

Does this help? If you don't know which sections are problematic or why they might be, please let me know. Adam (Wiki Ed) (talk) 20:11, 10 March 2016 (UTC)Reply
