AfD for Chronology_of_diplomatic_recognitions_and_relations_of_South_Sudan

You participated in a related discussion before. The current one is here. Japinderum (talk) 11:41, 9 February 2012 (UTC)

This RFC is related to the recent AfD you participated at. Japinderum (talk) 08:24, 27 February 2012 (UTC)

Still alive

Glad to hear you are still around. RJFJR (talk) 14:27, 15 February 2012 (UTC)

Notifications?

I am not sure if CodrinB's notifications were deliberately targeting those that had some conflict with Anonimu or not but the very fact that Anonimu is in conflict with so many people I think says a lot. In any case I am not sure if this is 'illegal' or not. About me annoying the admins, honestly, read my message, my initial comments and my second comment on that second request was actually asking for a lesser ban on a few topics only where Anonimu has engaged in incivility.Dapiks (talk) 20:19, 25 February 2012 (UTC)

Nothing to be unsure about - user contribs are public and easily verifiable, just click the link I provided there. Yeah, votestacking is inappropriate. As for you posting in a closed discussion and then revert warring with the admins there - Dahn already told you why it's a bad idea. Anonimu does walk a thin line there with his comments, but it's also quite obvious that you guys have an ax to grind with him and your burning desire to see him banned (particularly Codrin's) goes well over what can be considered genuine concern over the editing atmosphere in Wikipedia, even with every last bit of AGF pumped into such an assumption. The two last attempts were executed so poorly, that going that way again will most likely backfire, badly. --illythr (talk) 20:40, 25 February 2012 (UTC)

About Lenin

Hi! I wanted to let you know that there is currently an ongoing discussion about the inclusion of Lenin in the mosaic of Russians. Since you participated in the previous discussion two years ago, I thought you may be interested in the current one. Please participate if this issue at all interests you. If you know of anyone who may be interested, please ask them to join us as well. I would really like to settle this issue once and for all. Thanks! --Eightofnine (talk) 00:24, 15 April 2012 (UTC)

I like your suggestion about going back to the previous version. What about replacing Gorbachev with someone less controversial with Russians, like Viktor Bout? Zloyvolsheb (talk) 18:58, 23 April 2012 (UTC)
(Talk page stalker) snort - that was good!VolunteerMarek 19:07, 23 April 2012 (UTC)

Request

Hi, I've got another request at Talk:Samsung Galaxy S III if you wanna check it out. --Sp33dyphil ©hatontributions 03:13, 7 July 2012 (UTC)

Yeah, I've already read it, will try to shoot some photos today or tomorrow. --illythr (talk) 17:42, 7 July 2012 (UTC)
Your photos are being put up for deletion. If you haven't, please check it out and reply to user Common Good. --Sp33dyphil ©hatontributions 08:11, 17 July 2012 (UTC)
Gotta love the copyrasm, eh? I suppose we can use this Wikipedia main page image instead. --illythr (talk) 20:21, 17 July 2012 (UTC)

Orphaned non-free media (File:Samsung Galaxy S III Pebble Blue TouchWiz UX Home Screen.png)

Thanks for uploading File:Samsung Galaxy S III Pebble Blue TouchWiz UX Home Screen.png. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Hazard-Bot (talk) 04:24, 17 August 2012 (UTC)

Possession of Nexus 7

Hi Illythr, do you have a Nexus 7 in your possession? I'm in the process of revamping the Nexus 7 article, but I'd like to see an image, similar to your Galaxy S3 front-view image, of the tablet uploaded before I release the article into the main space. --Sp33dyphil ©hatontributions 21:40, 21 August 2012 (UTC)

Nope, thought about getting one, but it's either too small or too large for my purposes. You may want to ask the same of User:Logan, who uploaded the current image, or you can crop this one, which, as was determined, is available under the CC-BY-CA 2.5 license. --illythr (talk) 21:58, 21 August 2012 (UTC)
What about this photo, which can be found at [1]? --Sp33dyphil ©hatontributions 22:50, 22 August 2012 (UTC)
"In addition, content linked from a page on this site is not covered by the license unless specifically noted. For example, pages may link to videos or slide decks that are not covered." Not looking good.
By the way, I see that the side by side image of the GSIII and GN got deleted as well. I can get my hands on a GN this weekend and then try and produce a side by side image with the screens turned off. --illythr (talk) 23:14, 22 August 2012 (UTC)
That'll be great! Anyway, why are you getting an extra phone? Also, do you reckon User:Sp33dyphil/My sandbox 6 is ready for release yet? --Sp33dyphil ©hatontributions 03:48, 23 August 2012 (UTC)
I'll only have the GS for as long as it'll take me to update it to Jelly Bean: Samsung did some last-minute update on many of these devices, preventing them from receiving the OTA update back in July. Fortunately, a manual update with the stock JB is possible without rooting the thing, which is what I'm gonna do. Makes for a good opportunity to shoot the necessary pic.
As for your article being ready, well with articles like this in the mainspace, I'm not sure why you even ask. It's already superior to that one, so I see no reason to hold it back. The only weak point I see from a cursory reading is the sentence "One major talking point of the Nexus 7 is its rare blend of competitive retail price and quality." which reads too much like advertising. I'd suggest replacing it with something like "Critics have particularly praised the combination of competitive retail price and quality of the Nexus 7." Might want to trim some excessive refs in advance this time, too. :-) --illythr (talk) 23:31, 23 August 2012 (UTC)
Done, moved to mainspace :) --Sp33dyphil ©hatontributions 03:12, 26 August 2012 (UTC)
Here's the promised side by side image. --illythr (talk) 16:13, 26 August 2012 (UTC)

: Sorry to bother again, but images found under "Android.com" are free right? --Sp33dyphil ©hatontributions 07:23, 14 September 2012 (UTC)

Nope: the nice CC-BY-SA 2.5 license covers only the content of the developer site (developer.android.com). The rest of android.com, including, say, this juicy page, is copyrighted by Google, alas. --illythr (talk) 18:25, 14 September 2012 (UTC)

Bessarabia

Still from the Basarab dynasty, just that it referred to the lands we know for sure those guys ruled. Anyway, the article is here (ro + en abstract). Access seems to be open (at least that's the case in my corporate network).Anonimu (talk) 18:09, 15 October 2012 (UTC)
