OTRS tickets from Russian Wikipedia

edit

Hi. A long time ago some (but not all) authors on a Russian website released their content to Wikipedia via OTRS. The talkpages of Russian Wikipedia articles have the OTRS ticket templates and links, but the english translations of the Russian Wikipedia articles don't have such corresponding information for technical reasons. Can you help with this? I would like to have templates for talkpages for the writers Nikolai Ufarkin and Andrey Simonov, who released their contributions (as seen on the following talkpages: ru:Обсуждение:Распопова, Нина Максимовна for articles and ru:Обсуждение:Машковский, Степан Филиппович). Not all of the articles released have been translated to English yet, so if you can create a template that can be added by a non-OTRS member (one that simply is to note that part of the article is translated from something by Simonov or Ufarkin, with their corresponding OTRS information linked), it would help a lot, since a lot of pages need the template to be added. It would be easier for me to just edit the talkpages as I go than to compile a huge list and later send an OTRS person the article titles I forgot for the article talkpages needing the attribution template.

A new user had an issue with a bot flagging translated articles as plagerized, when in fact the authors had released the content under a free license (and hence that text got copied a lot) So the need for the template directly on the talkpage is clear, since these issues need to be clarified to other editors reveiwing the article. I do not think that the translated page template is sufficient, even though it links to the Russian Wikipedia page, it does not link to the russian wikipedia talkpage)--PlanespotterA320 (talk) 02:52, 23 June 2019 (UTC)Reply

Hi. It may be better to create one general template with a link to that list? Without specific number of OTRS ticket in the template? Then template will be able to be installed by all users, but at the same time it will remain verifiable.
Sorry for my English.—Iluvatar (talk) 11:34, 23 June 2019 (UTC)Reply
