Deletion

edit

Hello Impact2d,

First, let me assure you that there was nothing personal in my actions. My user name comes from a song by the band Radiohead, and doesn't necessarily reflect my personal beliefs. Whether or not the subject of the article was appropriate for Wikipedia isn't really the point; the page as it was written was very much an advertisement for the church, which we can't have on the encyclopedia. My personal beliefs didn't factor into my decision at all. In fact, I've created an article about a church myself (Saint Paul's Episcopal Church (Norfolk, Virginia)). And keep in mind when writing, one of the fundamental policies of Wikipedia is that we retain a neutral point of view. If you recreate the article and it establishes notability while remaining neutral, then obviously it can be included. But the article which was deleted did not meet the criteria for inclusion. Also, be sure to establish notability and neutrality with the very first edit; we can only go by what we see on the screen, and so we don't know if the author is still planning on adding more to an article. You might want to create a subpage to work on your articles before adding them to the mainspace. Feel free to contact me if you have any questions or concerns.
