User talk pages
editHello, Imperfect Boy,
You should really consider archiving your User talk page rather than blanking it every time you get a message you don't like. Most long-time editors leave several weeks or months' worth of comments on their page. You come to my User talk page and you can see all sorts of problems that editors come to my page to talk about, things that I've done that they don't like or things I didn't do that they think I should have done. It's considered part of the transparency of working on Wikipedia. No matter how long you choose to edit here, you will never be a perfect editor because it's natural on this project to have differences of opinion on policy interpretation AND because we all continue to learn and become better editors.
If you want to remove comments, that is your choice but you should really start maintaining talk page archives if you want to edit Wikipedia for a long time. And if you ever have questions about editing practices or policies, please bring them to the Teahouse...going to the Teahouse the first year I was editing on Wikipedia is the only thing that kept me editing! Good luck! Liz Read! Talk! 05:55, 28 August 2022 (UTC)
- Thank you so much for the information. I'll not remove those talk page messages again. Imperfect Boy (talk) 05:59, 28 August 2022 (UTC)
Blocked as a sockpuppet
editNote that multiple accounts are allowed, but not for illegitimate reasons, and any contributions made while evading blocks or bans may be reverted or deleted.
If you think there are good reasons why you should be unblocked, you should review the guide to appealing blocks, and then appeal your block by adding the following text below this notice:
{{unblock|Your reason here ~~~~}}
. Note that anything you post in your unblock request will be public, so you may alternatively use the Unblock Ticket Request System to submit an appeal if it contains information that must be private.Administrators: Checkusers have access to confidential system logs not accessible by the public or by administrators due to the Wikimedia Foundation's privacy policy. You must not loosen or remove this block, or issue an IP block exemption, without consulting with a checkuser or the Arbitration Committee. Administrators who undo checkuser blocks without permission from a checkuser or the Arbitration Committee may be summarily desysopped.
