Articles for deletion nomination of Newgen Software Technologies

edit

I have nominated Newgen Software Technologies, an article that you created, for deletion. I do not think that this article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and have explained why at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Newgen Software Technologies. Your opinions on the matter are welcome at that same discussion page; also, you are welcome to edit the article to address these concerns. Thank you for your time.

In response to your question - press releases aren't good sources. What I would do is read WP:CORP which will give you guidelines on how we determine whether or not a company is "notable" (i.e. whether they can get a Wikipedia article) and what we are looking for. In short, we are looking for significant coverage from secondary (independent, i.e. no press releases) sources. If you can do that, try the article again. --Mr. Vernon (talk) 15:42, 18 June 2010 (UTC)Reply
