See WP:SPOILER. Wikipedia is an encyclopedia. Also, I question if it's really a spoiler anyway, since they begin to reconcile before the 1-hour mark. Ribbet32 (talk) 20:28, 22 September 2020 (UTC)Reply

The fact that Vader is Anakin Sywalker is in the first sentence of Darth Vader and that he's Luke's father is right at the top of that article. WP:SPOILER: "Spoilers are no different from any other content and should not be deleted solely because they are spoilers." Also, see WP:OTHERSTUFF - the fact that one article doesn't have something doesn't mean all other articles have to be the same. Ribbet32 (talk) 21:25, 22 September 2020 (UTC)Reply

Your recent bold edit has been reverted. Per the bold, revert, discuss cycle, after a bold edit is reverted, the status quo should remain while a discussion is started instead of edit-warring, and it should be resolved before reinstating the edit, after a needed consensus is formed to keep it. I didn't mean to start a war with anyone, I thought we were collaborating here. That's why I took out the Mediaite source and removed the part about "joined Lemann." Why did you remove all of the text instead of adding more sources? I see it's already been added back so I suppose the opportunity is still there for us to do that. Cheers. Incerto501 (talk) 02:17, 21 May 2021 (UTC)Reply
The point has been made that it was "inappropriate" per the network. Anything more than that would be superfluous. There are scholars weighing in on media-related news every day. We could easily inundate the article with quotes from ten op-eds on this matter if we wanted to, but that's not how BLPs work. KyleJoantalk 02:27, 21 May 2021 (UTC)Reply
Incerto501, As I see it, I don't believe you did anything wrong here. You added neutrally-worded text from high-quality sources. Dr. Swag Lord (talk) 03:20, 21 May 2021 (UTC)Reply

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited The Ice Road, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Fishtail. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

"Is"/"were"

edit

Hi – I saw your query on Tomaten05's talk page. The reason is that American English uses the singular when talking about a band, while British English uses the plural – as a Brit myself, it doesn't sound strange to me at all to say "The Beatles are a rock band from Liverpool" or "UB40 are a reggae band from Birmingham". This is why the R.E.M. and Soundgarden pages (American bands) use "is" and the Beatles and Pink Floyd (English bands) use "are". The guideline you are looking for is MOS:PLURALS and also English plurals#Singulars with collective meaning treated as plural – hope this helps. In general you will find articles about American subjects use American English (organized, traveled, center) and articles about British, Australian and New Zealand subjects use British English (organised, travelled, centre). Hi @Richard3120:, thanks for the clarification and article! I've noticed that some pages use the "s" rather than "z" convention (realise, scrutinise, etc.) and the "u" in colour and favourite. I had no idea about this singular/plural convention but this makes sense. Cheers. Incerto501 (talk) 15:12, 3 August 2021 (UTC)Reply

An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Fixer (person), you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Michael Kelly.
