Congratulations
editI want to take the opportunity to congratulate you on your first article. It is one of the best first efforts I have seen here at Wikipedia, and as a new page patroller I see lots of first efforts.
I have cleaned up the referencing style, and some formatting, but other than that, I think your article is excellent. I am surprised that there was no prior article on this very popular woman's scent. WikiDan61ChatMe!ReadMe!! 19:50, 23 March 2011 (UTC)
DYK Nomination
editHi. I've nominated Charlie (fragrance), an article you worked on, for consideration to appear on the Main Page as part of Wikipedia:Did you know. You can see the hook for the article here, where you can improve it if you see fit. WikiDan61ChatMe!ReadMe!! 18:37, 24 March 2011 (UTC) WikiDan61ChatMe!ReadMe!! 18:37, 24 March 2011 (UTC)
DYK for Charlie (fragrance)
editOn 2 April 2011, Did you know? was updated with a fact from the article Charlie (fragrance), which you created or substantially expanded. The fact was ... that Revlon named a fragrance "Charlie" after the company's founder, because competitor Estée Lauder released one called "Estée"? You are welcome to check how many hits the article got while on the front page (here's how, quick check) and add it to DYKSTATS if it got over 5,000. If you know of another interesting fact from a recently created article, then please suggest it on the Did you know? talk page. |

Hi I've added a birth year date cite to both articles - useful to find such as not always available. Do you have a source for his Grantham school, and had Grantham schools become "high schools" at the time he attended? I've taken out lots of "Beradi's". We only need to mention the name at the beginning and end of a para, unless the subject of the para changes mid way through - it could begin to look like promo-speak otherwise. Good article. Thank you for making those improvements. I put "high school" in parentheses to clarify "secondary schools," because I am from the U.S. and "high school" is the term used here. However if you think this is confusing it can be removed. I haven't found a source that names his Grantham school, however every biography of Mr. Berardi's in my source list has said he spent his entire childhood and adolescence in Grantham, so I assume he attended school there. Thank you for the help, I am still somewhat new. Indah88 (talk) 22:12, 30 April 2011 (UTC)
- Hi. I see what you are saying. I thought that your writing showed insight into minutia of the UK education system but, through serendipity, you indicate a situation that exists. Some years ago, the UK government instituted "Comprehensive Education" whereby all schools have to offer a "National Curriculum" in "Comprehensive Schools" - virtually all UK schools now are under this system - it's rather like the UK "National Health Service". The previous system was "Grammar Schools" and "Secondary Modern Schools" (for less academic education). A very few counties (Lincolnshire included) were allowed to opt-out of the new system, and still are outside. But, as the Government subsequently allowed schools to give themselves a style-tag (my term), Secondary Modern Schools in Grantham now call themselves "High School". The date Berardi went to school therefore indicates what "style" of school he went to. A bit too much information I know; and a bit boring. But it's why I thought you had some connection :) Best wishes. Acabashi (talk) 23:18, 30 April 2011 (UTC)

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. The article Cosmetic Executive Women has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
Could not find significant coverage any independent, third party, reliable sources for this topic, as per WP:ORGCRIT.
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. बिनोद थारू (talk) 00:24, 25 December 2023 (UTC)
