Spears conservatorship

edit

Your draft article is very good and I encourage you to proceed with getting it into mainspace. Cheers, Coretheapple (talk) 20:34, 10 July 2021 (UTC)Reply

Thanks! I plan to submit it for review in the next day or two. Indecisjon (talk) 20:56, 10 July 2021 (UTC)Reply
Good. Personally I just go ahead and put articles in mainspace, but getting feedback in AfC is a good idea too. Coretheapple (talk) 23:51, 10 July 2021 (UTC)Reply

Stubs and categories, and navigation

edit

Hallo, re this edit: please note that:

  1. Stub categories must not be added directly but only by adding a stub template, which also generates a stub notice on the article
  2. Rather than Category:Chicago and Category:Buildings and structures there is a specific category Category:Skyscraper office buildings in Chicago. It's worth looking around the category tree to find a precise category.

Please also note that when you create an article at a disambiguated title you need to make sure that the reader can find it from the basic title - I've expanded the hatnote at BMO Tower to link to this one.

Thanks and Happy Editing. PamD 06:34, 12 July 2021 (UTC)Reply

NYT information in 2014 on Spears' conservatorship

edit

Thank you for creating the Britney Spears conservatorship Wikipedia page. I wanted to create it in 2019, but it was branded conspiracy by other editors and I felt I did not have enough support. I was the first person on Wikipedia to add the 2019 section of Spears' conservatorship dispute, and I faced criticism for 'biased information' in support of it. As a result, I believe any edit I make regarding the conservatorship will be disputed.

However, I want to ask if you could check out and add any additional information from the years 2014 and 2016, where Spears wanted to end the conservatorship then. It is all listed in the NY Times article one day prior to her June 23 hearing, which is a credible source. Also, the alleged Jonathan Ross conservatorship conversation being cut would be worthy to note.

This is the article. Have a good day and thanks for your contribution! https://www.nytimes.com/2021/06/22/arts/music/britney-spears-conservatorship.html --Thelonggoneblues (talk) 13:47, 16 July 2021 (UTC)Reply

Thanks! I have been working on the page for a while now. I too was concerned about whether the material in my contributions would be considered "conspiracy", but it seems that since Spears has spoken herself, that has become less of a concern. It is especially interesting to see details considered "biased" two years ago, being discussed as fact in credible sources today like The New York Times, among others. It is also interesting to see how many of the #FreeBritney movement's suspicions have been "validated", as a number of sources have stated, in recent weeks.
I will certainly look into 2014-2016 details in that NYT article, and same with the alleged Jonathan Ross discussion about the conservatorship. As long as I can find good sources for those details, they should be added to the page very soon. Indecisjon (talk) 19:42, 16 July 2021 (UTC)Reply
