Re: A simple request
Hi Infamous. I haven't got a problem with you changing the image, as long as there is a specific reason for doing so. You can't just upload something and then replace an image "just because". If you have a reason then please put it in, but looking at your image and the image already there, I can't see the difference. Nice. Quentin X (talk) 14:36, 6 September 2010 (UTC)
Images
Hi Infamous. Sorry, should have explained when I did it. All images, to conform to copyright, must have one side that is 300px or less. I reduced your image because of image. Also, I'm sorry I can't grant your request about putting your Proposal image in the article, because if I do it for you, then everyone will ask. There are plenty of films without posters, all it takes is a little delving. Nice. Quentin X (talk) 15:03, 6 September 2010 (UTC)
File source and copyright licensing problem with File:Buried Poster.jpg
Thanks for uploading File:Buried Poster.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, their copyright should also be acknowledged.
As well as adding the source, we also need to know the terms of the license that the copyright holder has published the file under, usually done by adding a licensing tag. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.
If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Unsourced and untagged files may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the file is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the file will be deleted 48 hours after 12:57, 8 September 2010 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Sfan00 IMG (talk) 12:57, 8 September 2010 (UTC)
Orphaned non-free image File:Saw VI Soundtrack.jpg
Thanks for uploading File:Saw VI Soundtrack.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of "file" pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Skier Dude (talk 04:53, 9 September 2010 (UTC)

Image tagging for File:Letters from Iwo Jima.jpg
Thanks for uploading File:Letters from Iwo Jima.jpg. You don't seem to have said where the image came from or who created it. We require this information to verify that the image is legally usable on Wikipedia, and because most image licenses require giving credit to the image's creator.
To add this information, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the information to the image's description. If you need help, post your question on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions.

Your addition to Courageous (2011 film) has been removed, as it appears to have added copyrighted material to Wikipedia without permission from the copyright holder. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other websites or printed material; such additions will be deleted. You may use external websites or publications as a source of information, but not as a source of article content such as sentences or images. Bug's Life poster
Hi Infamous...me again. I've moved your upload of the brighter Bug's Life poster onto the original image upload. I'm sure you're aware, as I've seen you tell people, that it is easier all round if you do this rather than upload a new image as it shows a history rather than give the illusion that there wasn't one there before. Hope you understand. Nice. Quentin X (talk) 13:01, 24 October 2010 (UTC)
Hi again infamous. Sorry, the same will apply with the Things We Lost In The Fire poster. I may be being proprietorial, but I would prefer it if you uploaded new images on the originame name. Thanks. Quentin X (talk) 01:37, 23 November 2010 (UTC)
The second poster is the one being primarily used for advertisement, including special talk show appearances where the actress have been invited to promote the film. Based on that I reverted the image back to the second image. The Bookkeeper (of the Occult) 05:13, 26 October 2010 (UTC)

Reviewer permission
Hello. Your account has been granted the "reviewer" userright, allowing you to review other users' edits on certain flagged pages. Pending changes, also known as flagged revisions, underwent a two-month trial which ended on 15 August 2010. Its continued use is still being discussed by the community, you are free to participate in such discussions. Many articles still have pending changes protection applied, however, and the ability to review pending changes continues to be of use.
Reviewers can review edits made by users who are not autoconfirmed to articles placed under level 1 pending changes and edits made by non-reviewers to level 2 pending changes protected articles (usually high traffic articles). Pending changes was applied to only a small number of articles, similarly to how semi-protection is applied but in a more controlled way for the trial. The list of articles with pending changes awaiting review is located at Special:OldReviewedPages.
For the guideline on reviewing, see Wikipedia:Reviewing. Being granted reviewer rights doesn't grant you status nor change how you can edit articles even with pending changes. The general help page on pending changes can be found here, and the general policy for the trial can be found here.
If you do not want this user right, you may ask any administrator to remove it for you at any time. HJ Mitchell | Penny for your thoughts? 15:38, 14 November 2010 (UTC)

Hi InfamousPrince. Can you, in the future, remove image requests from talk pages when you upload new images. You uploaded the poster for Jane Eyre (2011 film), and the add image request was remaining. I've gone ahead and removed it, but it'll save a lot of hassle in the future if you do both actions at once. Thanks! BOVINEBOY2008 07:38, 25 November 2010 (UTC)
- I'm sorry about that, I did not pay attention but do not worry, I will do so in the future. InfamousPrince 12:17, 25 November 2010 (UTC)
- It's alright, you aren't the first and you won't be the last ;) Thanks, and no worries! BOVINEBOY2008 22:11, 28 November 2010 (UTC)
My edit
Could you please explain why you undid my edit to Over Her Dead Body? I thought it should be in that category but it turns out that I may have been wrong. Thank you. 184.91.183.146 (talk) 21:48, 25 November 2010 (UTC)
- Because this film is not in that category, and you can convince yourself if you go to the list of ghost films. So in the future if you want to put a category, first make sure that the film is on the list of that category. InfamousPrince 12:28, 26 November 2010 (UTC)
Sorry for annoying you, I would like to add that film to the list because it does involve a ghost. Is that okay? Next time I will check or add to the list before adding a category. Thank you for letting me know. 184.91.183.146 (talk) 18:46, 26 November 2010 (UTC)
- Do what you think is right, and you do not need to ask permission from me to do what you want, you have administrators who can help you at any time, and just like you and I am not a long time here, so and I still have much to learn. InfamousPrince 19:17, 26 November 2010 (UTC)

Style
You recently made some "improvements" to the article Unstoppable. Some changes were good, some were not, and others were a matter of a preference and should probably be dicussed with other editors.
Note that other editors removed the links you added to country names and other links that are not really needed.
I use templates for citations, I think it is not a good idea to manually add any extra style information and instead just accept the conensus decided by people working on Templates so I removed your extra parenthesis around the Publisher (Amazon.com) and instead leave that formatting to the Templates.
Every image should have an alternative description. You should be very careful about deleting unused paramaters from the infobox. Try to fill them rather than remove them.
Dont have time to go into more detail but if you look at the page history and look at the diff tool to see what other editors have changed back and more importantly what they didn't you'll get an idea of what changes were better. If you push them most editors can link to the revelant documentation or guidelines explaining their changes. -- Horkana (talk) 20:44, 12 December 2010 (UTC)

NFCC and Star Trek (film)
The policy WP:NFCC stipulates that "An entire work is not used if a portion will suffice. Low- rather than high-resolution/fidelity/bit rate is used (especially where the original could be used for deliberate copyright infringement). This rule also applies to the copy in the File: namespace." Uploading higher-resolution copies of posters is not allowable; they only need to be large enough for the fair-use rationale. Images and refs
- With regard to TV show logos, can you point to something that indicates that the site you are pulling images from actually are licensed to host the full videoes/torents? Point to a grey or pirate site - even with the fair use rationale isn't going to work.
- Initial or original release packaging is generally prefered with games, videos, DVDs, books, video games, etc.
- Adding impropper material to the references - like italicizing a publisher - is disruptive. Fighting to keep it more so.
- Changing coding to fit persdonal tates where it makes not a wit of difference - like change ref names - can also be seen as disruptive.
- Hiding multiple edits is less than curtious to your fellow editors. Wnat to change/add an image and only mention that in the edit summory, fine. But don't make other changes while you are at it.
- Simillarly, it may be a good thing to seperate your edits by type or section so that other editors can evaluate them independantly rather than have to work harder to fix or correct mistakes.

Please do not revert me without comment, I am not a vandal. The image is not appropriate- yes, there is currently a general consensus that articles on albums should lead with the album's cover, but this does not extend to articles that happen to mention the album, unless the cover itself is of some significance. This is because of non-free content criterion 8- how does seeing the cover of the soundtrack of the film significantly increase reader understanding of the topic of the film? In this case, the fact that the album cover is practically identical to the film poster makes it even less useful. J Milburn (talk) 23:17, 11 February 2011 (UTC)

Please state the reason for your constant disruptive edits. The note has been designed to look like a note, and what you claim to be improving links actually removes side notes made by previous editors, plus your edit summaries are always empty. Hearfourmewesique (talk) 15:26, 12 February 2011 (UTC)
- InfamousPrince, your lack of edit summaries here is disturbing, especially since you have been edit warring (with an administrator enforcing WP:NFC, no less!) to restore a non-free image without any justification for its use. Next time you feel like reverting an edit without comment, especially one made in enforcement of NFC, Copyrights or BLP, think how you would feel if I blocked you without any comment and, at the very least, use an informative edit summary. Bear in mind that a continued pattern of edit warring may lead to a lengthy block. HJ Mitchell | Penny for your thoughts? 20:35, 14 February 2011 (UTC)
- I am really sorry for what happened, and if I can return time to change it, I would. But what's done can not be changed and all I can say is that it will not happen again. InfamousPrince 20:42, 14 February 2011 (UTC)
- Well, fair enough. We all screw up and get to chalk it up to a bad day or something. Just don't make a habit of it, especially when there are legal things like copyrights and libel involved. And use edit summaries, especially when you're reverting an edit—like I say, imagine if you were blocked or your edit reverted without comment. You can set your preferences to force you to enter an edit summary if you want. Special:Preferences > Editing > Advanced options > 4th tick box from the bottom of the section. Best, HJ Mitchell | Penny for your thoughts? 23:17, 14 February 2011 (UTC)
- Thank you for understanding. My desire has always been to become an administrator, but now after this I'm sure I definitely will not be. On February 13, I asked for rollback rights, and probably I would receive them, but I caused this problem and I can now forget it, but I believe that everyone deserves a second chance, and I know I would did the right thing with it, but all I can at this point is that to apologize to everyone. Empire Records poster
Hi Infamous, I've moved your upload of a new image for the poster back onto the original upload. As I said before, it is preferable that you upload the new version on top of the old one, rather than just upload a new image name. This shows the history of the image upload and helps everyone see it. Nice. Quentin X (talk) 13:37, 20 February 2011 (UTC)
I've done the same with the Forty Days and Forty Nights poster. I really can't understand why you don't do this yourself as it makes everything easier. Please bear this in mind for the future. Nice. Quentin X (talk) 08:24, 24 February 2011 (UTC)
Sorry, please don't revert the edit on the Hangover. This time, not only have you uploaded a new page, you've actually credited the same source. Please stop doing this as it is easier for everybody, including yourself, if you just add a larger image onto the original upload. Nice Quentin X (talk) 12:18, 30 March 2011 (UTC)

Why did you remove the {{nowrap}} templates like you did at Limitless (film)? Please see WP:NBSP. Erik (talk | contribs) 16:41, 2 March 2011 (UTC)
- The "alt" field exists so we can provide accessible text for the poster image per WP:ALT. In addition, there is no need to use "accessdate" fields with references that are in print. The fields are used for web-only content that may disappear permanently. If you want, you can follow WP:WEBCITE and make archived versions of the pages, thus filling out "archiveurl" and "archivedate" fields. Erik (talk | contribs) 16:46, 2 March 2011 (UTC)
- I'm sorry if I did something wrong, but they looked unnecessary for me, because I have not seen them anywhere else. InfamousPrince 16:52, 2 March 2011 (UTC)
- It's okay. :) I think that the use of non-breaking spaces is still in its infancy. In fact, WikiProject Film has a bot request in line to use the {{nowrap}} template for month-day pairings. In addition, I see that you used leading zeroes for the dates, and per WP:DATESNO, we don't need to do that. I think another detail is that you linked names in the synopsis section. While this varies, I think it can be overlinking. The article already links to the set of stars three times (in the lead section, in the infobox, and in the cast section) which is somewhat acceptable because tables are different to navigate than prose. Erik (talk | contribs) 16:55, 2 March 2011 (UTC)
- Here is the bot page if you're interested: Wikipedia:WikiProject Film/Bot requests. There is an editor working on the coding to get all, if not most, of these items done automatically. Erik (talk | contribs) 16:56, 2 March 2011 (UTC)

Re: Replacing
I'd rather you didn't, obviously, as otherwise I would have uploaded them as such to begin with. Ideally I would have liked to have found ones with just the titles and no other text, but that doesn't exist for most films in the series and I decided for a consistent look between films. My rationale was that the text placement, credits, et al change depending on the medium (the theatrical release poster itself, or variants thereof, or home video releases/re-releases), and thus the only "common" and immediately identifiable work is the art itself, thus better satisfying the requirements of WP:NFC where branding is used for purposes of identification. Secondly, there's a practical consideration: per WP:NFCC, all images should be uploaded at as low a resolution as possible. The current resolutions are small (just over .1 megapixel, the usual threshold for these) and in fact I was planning on reducing them a tad more to better satisfy compliance. As these are PNGs, there's no issue with doing so and losing quality, and since there's no text, there's no issues with legibility, meaning the art can be smaller but still recognizable. At any size on Wikipedia, a film poster is going to be essentially unreadable (and I would say that File:Star Trek IX.jpg you uploaded is approaching larger than is acceptable.) Glancing at your talk page, I think it might be a good idea for you to read up on our policies on copyrighted and non-free content before you continue to add images. Thanks, Der Wohltemperierte Fuchs(talk) 19:08, 17 March 2011 (UTC)
Filmography - Daniel Day-Lewis
It's great to see editors working to improve these filmographies, and I wish there were more people like you trying to get them updated. You may not be aware, but the sortable table only works if the rowspans are removed, and film titles that start with "A", "An" or "The" need a sort template to make them sort by the second word of the film title. I've updated Day-Lewis, and if you have a look at the table again in edit mode, you'll see how the templates are included. Thanks for making a good start at improving the filmography. Hangover poster
I added this earlier today, but you appear to have chosen to ignore it, so I thought I'd try it down here, see if you do ;-) Sorry, please don't revert the edit on the Hangover. This time, not only have you uploaded a new page, you've actually credited the same source. Please stop doing this as it is easier for everybody, including yourself, if you just add a larger image onto the original upload. Nice
I've advised you about this before. It isn't a question of you having a better image, it is unfair on previous uploaders if the images that they uploaded are deleted because someone felt like putting theirs on. I'm sure you understand. Quentin X (talk) 21:18, 30 March 2011 (UTC)
- I really do not understand how that is unfair? It is just an image, it will not happen nothing bad if the old image is replaced with new one. I hope that you understand. InfamousPrince 14:41, 31 March 2011 (UTC)
- If you could just upload new images all the time, everyone would do it and there would be nothing to stop them. As it is, if you wish to upload a better image of the current one then you should upload it on the original page. This doesn't mean the same as replacing DVD images with theatrical poster images. The majority of what you do is good so keep that up but, please, stop uploading new pages of images that already exist. Just upload better ones on the original page. Quentin X (talk) 17:42, 31 March 2011 (UTC)

April 2011
Thank you for your contributions. Please remember to mark your edits, such as your recent edits to Tangled, as "minor" only if they truly are minor edits. In accordance with Help:Minor edit, a minor edit is one that the editor believes requires no review and could never be the subject of a dispute. Minor edits consist of things such as typographical corrections, formatting changes, or rearrangement of text without modification of content. Additionally, the reversion of clear-cut vandalism and test edits may be labeled "minor". Thank you. You also neglected to supply an Edit Summary. A good Edit Summary helps your fellow editors; please use it! — UncleBubba ( T @ C ) 21:50, 6 April 2011 (UTC)
- Above "Minor" warning was incorrectly posted to you. My bad! I thought you added the sentence; rather, you changed the spacing. (This would not have happened had you supplied an Edit Summary, however!) L8R! — UncleBubba ( T @ C ) 21:55, 6 April 2011 (UTC)
African Cats Image
Hey, I noticed that you reverted my upload of the newest African Cats poster. This was the first time I've updated a one-sheet, and I was wondering if you could provide some insight as to why it was reverted. The feedback would be greatly appreciated so that I can improve my edits future edits.
Here's the direct link: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:African_Cats_Poster.jpg
Thanks. --TravisBernard (talk) 15:01, 8 April 2011 (UTC)
- First, welcome to Wikipedia. Second, the main reason that I reverted your file it is because it is way too large, when you sending a file, there is no need to be larger than 300px, so please take a look at the Wikipedia:Non-free content criteria. You will find there all necessary information. Happy editing. InfamousPrince 16:31, 8 April 2011 (UTC)
- Thanks for the feedback. I took a look at the non-free content criteria, and I made a few adjustments to the size of the image. The new version is only 358 KB. I'm about to upload this version, so feel to provide any additional feedback. Thanks again for the help. --TravisBernard (talk) 16:50, 8 April 2011 (UTC)
- I decided to switch it from a PNG to a JPG, which further reduced the image size to 61KB. --TravisBernard (talk) 16:55, 8 April 2011 (UTC)

Orphaned non-free image File:Requiem for a Dream Poster.jpg
Thanks for uploading File:Requiem for a Dream Poster.jpg.
Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described in the criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Friends with Benefits and The Muppets posters
Hey Infamous, once again you have started adding your own uploads rather than just resizing the original upload. I have reverted these edits and would remind you to please upload resizes on the original file. Fierce Quentin X (talk) 11:32, 24 May 2011 (UTC)
- But maybe I don't want to upload to the original file, it is not an article that need to have a history, I didn't see anybody complain about it, only you. I'm not sending a new file if there is already a good version, only if it is bad. So if you want we can fight all over again and again about this or you can let these files the way it was and I promise that I will stop with sending a new files. It is up to you. InfamousPrince 14:19, 24 May 2011 (UTC)
- I have advised you previously that there needs to be a history showing the uploads. The only person that I have seen uploading clearer versions is you. You are systematically increasing your edit count whilst decreasing other editors edit count, which will happen when their image is deleted. It doesn't matter if others haven't complained, all that matters is that I have noticed you doing it. There will not be a "fight", I would just ask an administrator to become involved if you continue to ignore these reasonable requests. Quentin X (talk) 14:34, 24 May 2011 (UTC)
Disputed non-free use rationale for File:On Stranger Tides Soundtrack.jpg
Thank you for uploading File:On Stranger Tides Soundtrack.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale provided for using this file on Wikipedia may not meet the criteria required by Wikipedia:Non-free content. This can be corrected by going to the file description page and adding or clarifying the reason why the file qualifies under this policy. Adding and completing one of the templates available from Wikipedia:Non-free use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your file is in compliance with Wikipedia policy. Please be aware that a non-free use rationale is not the same as an image copyright tag; descriptions for files used under the non-free content policy require both a copyright tag and a non-free use rationale.
If it is determined that the file does not qualify under the non-free content policy, it might be deleted by an administrator within a few days in accordance with our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions, please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you. J Milburn (talk) 13:06, 27 May 2011 (UTC)

Alternative text for images
Can you please keep "alt" fields in film infoboxes? There should always be an opportunity to fill it out per Wikipedia:Alternative text for images. I'll do it soon for Real Steel when I get the chance. Erik (talk | contribs) 19:52, 1 June 2011 (UTC)
- Also, if you're going to change the poster image to an older version, please don't mark your edit as minor and leave the edit summary blank. The new poster is appropriate because it has credits on it. The other one did not. Erik (talk | contribs) 19:54, 1 June 2011 (UTC)
- Then why don't you simply upload new poster to the existing file, it is not fair. My file will be deleted only because you didn't wanted to do it by yourself, and you could. InfamousPrince 20:24, 1 June 2011 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of File:Real Steel.jpg
A tag has been placed on File:Real Steel.jpg, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done for the following reason:
Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not meet basic Wikipedia criteria may be deleted at any time.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, contest the deletion by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion," which appears inside of the speedy deletion ({{db-...}}
) tag (if no such tag exists, the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate). Doing so will take you to the talk page where you will find a pre-formatted place for you to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. Sfan00 IMG (talk) 09:36, 10 June 2011 (UTC)

June 2011
Thank you for contributing to Wikipedia. We always appreciate when users upload new images. However, it appears that one or more of the images you have recently uploaded or added to an article may fail our non-free image policy. Most often, this involves editors uploading or using a copyrighted image of a living person. For other possible reasons, please read up on our non-free image criteria. Please note that we take very seriously our criteria on non-free image uploads, and users who repeatedly upload or misuse non-free images may be blocked from editing. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media Copyright Questions page. ΔT The only constant 11:05, 23 June 2011 (UTC)
- Making a new article with the exact same content as the containing section does not give a non-free image a stamp of approval. A stand-alone article about the soundtrack needs to have critical commentary; see WP:NFCI about cover art. An article like Tron: Legacy (soundtrack) is where a soundtrack cover image can work. At this point, there is no place on Wikipedia for the The Hangover Part II and Green Lantern soundtrack cover images. See discussion here. Erik (talk | contribs) 23:09, 23 June 2011 (UTC)
