City of Phoenix Gillig buses

edit

Hello there. It appears you have some insider information on the City of Phoenix bus fleet. I was wondering, do you happen to know what kind of transmissions these buses have? Knowing the City of Phoenix, I would assume they have Allison B400R transmissions, but I would like to confirm. ANDROS1337TALK 16:56, 15 March 2016 (UTC)Reply

Phoenix circulator cutaway fleet

edit

I was wondering, do you have any information on the current cutaway bus fleet for the City of Phoenix circulators (specifically SMART, MARY, and ALEX)? I do believe that some (all?) of the old StarTrans body cutaways have been replaced by new Starcraft body cutaways, however, the fleet page does not reflect it and I am not sure about fleet numbers.   Hello, I'm Kevin12xd. I noticed that you made a change to an article, Valley Metro bus fleet, but you didn't provide a source. I’ve removed it for now, but if you’d like to include a citation to a reliable source and re-add it, please do so! If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks. Kevin12xd 03:50, 26 March 2017 (UTC)Reply

RPTA New Flyer XN40s

edit

Just to let you know, the additional RPTA Gillig Low Floor CNG buses are still on order, and should be delivered soon, either later this year or early next year. These will replace the 2006 New Flyer C40LFRs. The New Flyer XN40s on the other hand will replace buses starting with the 2008 New Flyer C40LFRs, probably up to the Tempe 2011 C40LFRs.

Now one thing I wonder is whether the new Gilligs will be based at Mesa or Tempe. Since the current Gillig fleet is based at Tempe but is currently only a small fleet, it may make more sense to put the new Gilligs in Tempe and move the 2008/2009 C40LFRs back to Mesa until the XN40s arrive. Valley Metro Route 140-Ray

edit

I am almost positive Route 140-Ray will be a First Transit-RPTA route, since Phoenix barely operates any service at all within the Southeast Valley; the only Phoenix routes that actually enter a Southeast Valley city are Route 1-Washington/Jefferson and Route 52-Roeser, which only barely enter Tempe and then turn around. As for which garage, my guess is that it will be split between both Tempe and Mesa as most of the east-west routes are. ANDROS1337TALK 05:21, 1 October 2017 (UTC)Reply
