Corvinus University of Budapest

edit

I've undone your edit [here] to Corvinus University of Budapest because articles should not link to pages in user space. That is to say, the pages in user space are for individual users to edit and experiment, they do not form part of the encyclopaedia proper.

WP:LINKING#General points on linking style includes the guideline:

Do not create links to user or wikiproject pages in articles, except in articles about Wikipedia itself (see WP:Self-references to avoid).

If you feel the page should become a Wikipedia article, it should be Wikified and moved to article space. I can help you do this if you wish. Any questions or comments, please just ask.

Use of your user page

edit

Hi there! Your new addition for the Corvinus University seems to be coming along nicely, but there are a few things about Wikipedia that might even make this work a lot easier for you. Firstly, your User page is for you to put some information about yourself so that other editors know a bit about you. You don't have to do this of course, but if you would like to, HERE is an example.
The next thing is that Wikipedia actually gives you your own special page where you can prepare new articles and bits and pieces for artices, until you are ready to cut and paste them to a main article. This page is called sandbox. It's yours to do practically anything you like in, and generally nobody will want to go there. There are some exceptions though: you might want to drop a link to it on a friend's talk page to ask him or her to have a look and tell you what he thinks of it - another editor's opinion on what you are doing is often very helpful.
What you should avoid doing though, is linking the main article to your experimental page; it's not a good idea and it's against the rules of Wikipedia.
If all this sounds a bit complicated, don't hesitate to ask me for help on my talk page - I'll even help you move this work of yours to your sandbox. Happy editiing! --Kudpung (talk) 13:38, 14 July 2010 (UTC)Reply

Please also read WP:SPAM - the draft is very promotional in tone (use of the first person, "we", "our" for example) and if moved to the mainspace in this form it will almost certainly be deleted. You will also need to cite reliable sources to demonstrate notability. I have also moved the draft to a user-subpage in accordance with accepted practice. It is now at User:Info.economics/Corvinus University of Budapest, Faculty of Economics. One other point to think about: Is the Faculty notable in itself as distinct from the University? Maybe your material could be better used by incorporating it into Corvinus University of Budapest. – ukexpat (talk) 18:57, 14 July 2010 (UTC)Reply
