Jeffrey Wright

Hi, when you moved the page that was at Jeffrey Wright and then slapped a disambiguation page there instead, a number of links to the actor were broken. As an alternative, it's perfectly OK to leave the existing page alone and create a disambiguation page at (name) (disambiguation) - in this case Jeffrey Wright (disambiguation). User Question on Globcal Block

Some points:

1) I do not have access to information regarding IP addresses for edits, especially deleted edits.

2) If I had such information, I would not give it to you.

3) No one else on Wikipedia will give you that information, either, because it would be a massive violation of Wikipedia's privacy policy.

4) There are exceptions, but to be perfectly blunt it's clear from your message that your case doesn't qualify, as it appears to be a fishing expedition in support of some sort of petty rivalry, and those people who have the authority to grant such exceptions to the privacy policy are highly unlikely to do so in your case. This link has more information.

I hope that answers your question. Please also note that if you have a conflict of interest yourself on the subject, you're equally subject to our policy regarding such things. Thank you.

Then you do, in fact, have a conflict of interest (COI) -- your frankly bizarre and inapt analogy to citizenship being some sort of COI aside -- and should let disinterested third parties who have some sort of perspective on the issue actually write such an article. And, as it appears from your original message to me and from your edit history, you should also not try playing "cop" -- you have no power or authority whatsoever to extend page protection yourself as you attempted to do nor should have even thought about attempting to snoop out people's IP addresses -- nor should you bring your petty real-world organizational rivalries onto Wikipedia. --Calton | Talk 13:55, 12 August 2009 (UTC)

P.S.: A pre-emptive warning regarding your edit summary here: there are no "International Authorities who are investigating the IPs", there never will be any "International Authorities who are investigating the IPs", and no one on Wikipedia is going to even help you with any alleged quest to get these unnamed "International Authorities" to "investigat[e] the IPs". In addition, any attempt to try to use such claims to stifle, discourage, block, inhibit, or influence other editors' attempts to make legitimate edits would run you immediately afoul of Wikipedia's "No legal threats" policy and would get you blocked from editing until you retracted any such claims. Do not bring your petty real-world battles onto Wikipedia.

No, you began with some crude flattery -- nearly the same thing you tried with User:Cirt back in May -- and asked for help in conducting a witch hunt. For the latter, if you had even thought for half-a-second about what you were asking -- extracting private personal information for the purpose of pursuing a vendetta -- you would have realized how wildly inappropriate, even immoral, that request was, especially for someone coming from, as you claim, Venezuela: would you find it the least bit okay if someone from your government approached me for the same information about YOU?

Once again, wrong. IP contributors are not second-class citizens nor, especially, are they "illegitimate". You are in no position -- none -- to assert authority nor do you even have moral or rational standing here. Once again, you're not a cop and any attempt play one on Wikipedia will, as the Brits like to say, end in tears. I've been on Wikipedia four years, and believe me, you're not the first -- or even one of the first dozen -- I've seen start down the road you're on. It's not a path you want to be taking.

Please do not undo revisions without first reviewing the discussion page. I believe that the edits that I made do not attack the subject. The edits - and the request for speedy deletion - were reviewed by a Wikipedia Administrator. If you wish to improve the article by providing accurate and verifiable information, please do so. My edits have been made only to improve the article and to make it worthy, if possible, of inclusion in Wikipedia.

Please respect the guidelines for Wikipedia and respect challenges to the article. If you believe that the challenges and edits are unwarrented, please say so in the discussion page.
