Welcome

edit

Hello and welcome to Wikipedia. I just wanted to explain to you why I've been reverting your edits linking GameCube and Virtual Console on the "List of The Legend of Zelda media" article. I understand why you are linking them - it looks a bit odd to have them remain unlinked while consoles like the Nintendo 64 and the iQue are linked. The reason that this is inappropriate here is because it violates a part of the Manual of Style (see WP:REPEATLINK). If you click the "View History" tab of an article (top right of the page), you can view a list of edits made by other editors to any article. If you look back at the history of "List of The Legend of Zelda media" you can see that the first time I reverted your edit I explained why in the edit summary. It's generally a good idea to always leave an edit summary, but it's not required.

Anyway as you can see from the article history I reverted your next edit with the shorthand, "rvv." This stands for "reverting vandalism". I apologize for that. It was sort of a gut instinct from having dealt with many many vandals in the past. In retrospect I can see that you just joined and so you are probably just unfamiliar with the rules and the format. It wasn't very nice of me to immediately accuse you of vandalism and I'm sorry. If you have any questions (about this or about anything else) please feel free to contact me at my talk page. I hope you have a good time here at Wikipedia. -Thibbs (talk) 12:57, 30 August 2011 (UTC)Reply
