Women poets by DOB

Hi ARoseWolf and thank you so much for your offer of help. I ran a test on another data set to be sure I could do a DOB query before volunteering...but of course now I’m unable to replicate it for the poets.

I’ve tried two main things (and a bunch of tinkering):

I tried using the query that worked (you can see it in my sandbox—the “Test Women in DOWW born in 1922” query) and subbing in occupation poets line for the “described by source DOWW” line; this drew an error message. Then I tried using the existing poets red list query and just added the filter for born before 1700 (the first one in my sandbox). This drew a null set, but I know there were women poets before 1700! (Also switching it to 1800 didn’t help.)

Oh!! Maybe I’ve figured at least part of it out! The ALT version. But, it’s only 150 names out of more than 10,000... Will try to recreate the magic for those born in the 1700s, 1800s, and 1900s, and see whether it’s just very top-heavy or if tons have no date... Tips welcome!
