Your account has been indefinitely blocked from editing because of the following problems: the account has been used for advertising or promotion, which is contrary to the purpose of Wikipedia, and your username indicates that the account represents a business, organisation, group, or web site, which is against the username policy.

You may request a change of username and unblock if you intend to make useful contributions instead of promoting your business or organization. To do this, first search Special:CentralAuth for available usernames that comply with the username policy. Once you have found an acceptable username, post the text {{unblock-spamun|Your proposed new username|Your reason here}} at the bottom of your talk page. Replace the text "Your proposed new username" with your new username and replace the text "Your reason here" with your reasons to be unblocked. In your reasons, you must:

  • Disclose any compensation you may receive for your contributions in accordance with the paid-contribution disclosure requirement.
  • Convince us that you understand the reason for your block and that you will not repeat the kind of edits for which you were blocked.
  • Describe in general terms the contributions that you intend to make if you are unblocked.
Appeals: If, after reviewing the guide to appealing blocks, you believe this block was made in error, you may appeal it by adding the text {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}} at the bottom of your talk page. Replace the text "Your reason here" with the reasons you believe the block was an error, and publish the page. ScottishFinnishRadish (talk) 11:44, 1 February 2023 (UTC)Reply

You have to convince us. This doesn't convince me you have even read the relevant policies, let alone understand them. Nor have you told us what you plan to write about instead. Yamla (talk) 12:24, 1 February 2023 (UTC)Reply
(edit conflict) I have renamed your account but, as your appeal did not address the other points the block notice asks you to address I cannot unblock you at this time. Cabayi (talk) 12:28, 1 February 2023 (UTC)Reply
I understand why my profile was blocked, and I have changed my username to suit the community guidelines. The block was not necessary because I have immediately changed my username after finding out my other one was in breach of guidelines. I am not trying to make disruptive edits or advertise an organisation, therefore I don't see a good reason to be blocked. I tried to create a purely informational article with relevant third party references to prove that the subject was noteworthy. I was also upfront in declaring my affiliation with the organisation, as was stated in Wikipedia's guidelines. TommyTI1997 (talk) 09:10, 2 February 2023 (UTC)Reply

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

I'm sorry that the edit prior to yours was by a vandal who has been writing junk comments on user talk pages. I have removed it and your reply. Please wait for an administrator to review the situation. Johnuniq (talk) 09:34, 2 February 2023 (UTC)Reply

I am new to Wikipedia and have tried to do everything correctly. I have received a lot of conflicting information from the admins such as ScottishFinnishRaddish and Theroadislong. I have been upfront and transparent and tried to follow the guidelines closely. If I wanted to create a promotional article for my employer, I would not have openly declared my affiliation with the subject as is Wikipedia's guidance, and I also would not have tried to write it in a neutral tone of voice, and cited independant references.

Hi TommyTI1997, I appreciate that you are trying to write in a neutral tone, but unfortunately your draft of In Professional Development reads like an advertisement. Most Wikipedia editors are volunteers with limited time and most do not want to repeatedly decline your drafts because they are promotionally written. Please answer the following questions to help demonstrate your understanding of how articles should be written on Wikipedia:
  1. What is Wikipedia's policy on promotional language, and how did your draft violate this policy? (Hint: WP:PROMO and WP:NPOV will help)
  2. If unblocked, what articles would you be interested in editing? If you are interested in continuing your draft of In Professional Development, what changes and additions would you make to the draft to ensure it complies with NPOV? Please be specific.
Feel free to ping me if you have any questions. Z1720 (talk) 02:21, 15 February 2023 (UTC)Reply
