Loretanos moved to draftspace

edit

Thanks for your contributions to Loretanos. Unfortunately, I do not think it is ready for publishing at this time because it needs more sources to establish notability and All four sources come from the same website, seemingly a blog. Even then. most of the article is unsourced.. I have converted your article to a draft which you can improve, undisturbed for a while.

Please see more information at Help:Unreviewed new page. When the article is ready for publication, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page OR move the page back. Rkieferbaum (talk) 01:47, 25 May 2024 (UTC)Reply

Loandwords

edit

Hi there,

I wanted to let you know that I’ve fixed some of your modifications to the following page : Foreign-language influences in English.

Modified the 1975 survey section. Modified French to 41%, Latin to 15, Old English to 33 and other percentages to 5, Added Dutch and Old Norse. Previous modifications were due to a bad interpretation of the survey. English is 78.1% in running text, by frequency, not total words, and so on.

You made some modifications based on a bad interpretation of the quoted source : https://books.google.com/books/about/Origins_of_the_English_Language.html?id=RamwAZ6fpaoC&source=kp_book_description.

Take care.
