Hello, Isaacmercado106, and welcome to Wikipedia! My name is Ian and I work with Wiki Education; I help support students who are editing as part of a class assignment.

I hope you enjoy editing here. If you haven't already done so, please check out the student training library, which introduces you to editing and Wikipedia's core principles. You may also want to check out the Teahouse, a community of Wikipedia editors dedicated to helping new users. Below are some resources to help you get started editing.

Concerns and controversies at the 2012 Summer Olympics

https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Concerns_and_controversies_at_the_2012_Summer_Olympics&redirect=no What have you done? You have really stepped in it by moving this article.Jeff in CA (talk) 22:08, 10 October 2021 (UTC)Reply

Hello Isaacmercado106, and welcome to Wikipedia. Just to let you know that I have had to undo your moves of these pages as it made the encyclopaedia harder to navigate and broke a few links. Moving pages is quite tricky, and I'd suggest avoiding it until you're more confident. Wikipedia articles are mostly worked on when they're 'live'; if you want to improve an article, just make the changes without moving it to Draft. If it's for a class assignment which requires copying or moving a page and you're still not sure how, then please don't hesitate to ask for assistance (you could try me or maybe Ian in the first instance), otherwise you could ask your question here on your talkpage and add {{Help me}} to the request and another editor will be along to assist. Good luck, and happy editing! --Jack Frost (talk) 07:24, 11 October 2021 (UTC)Reply
Ditto. Please do not do this again. Liz Read! Talk! 01:37, 12 October 2021 (UTC)Reply
Isaacmercado106, if you don't stop your disruptive editing, I will block you. Please pay attention to messages on your talk page. Liz Read! Talk! 02:05, 14 October 2021 (UTC)Reply

Hello Ian and Liz, This is Isaacmercado106. I would like to apologize for everything. The only parts I've been trying to edit are three parts that are in my draft. All I'm trying to do is just moving the article without affecting the main article. I've trying to move the article into live-space I can't find a way to change it without changing the article. Hopefully that I don't get blocked for editing the talk page that is under my name

Moving content into a new article

edit

Hi! I saw your note - to move content to a live article (ie, the article already exists), you need to essentially copy and paste the content from your draft. Make sure that both of the pages are in edit mode, otherwise the markup language won't copy over properly. There is some information about this process here, here, and here.

I hope this helps! ReaderofthePack(formerly Tokyogirl79) (。◕‿◕。) 14:01, 15 October 2021 (UTC)Reply

Hey, I was able to do a preview of the copy-paste of the article, while it is not entirely pasted as to the draft format-wise everything was able to be copied and I don't want to take a risk of getting blocked from Wikipedia. As far as mark-up language, I'm not sure what that means but overall I can't edit the article due to Extended confirmed protection.
