For both of you: I'm wondering whether Timothy Karels is dropping this class. I've emailed him and will let you know whether you are a two person group. Good to see that you've mastered reference citations already.

It seems like the main problem will be finding good sources of information on this topic. I agree that not much seems to be in the NDSU collection. However, when I searched on Google Scholar, I found many references. Note: I turned up more hits when I spelled it correctly: daseinsanalysis. This may a challenging topic, but it should be interesting. Focus on works by Medard and Boss. As Steve suggests, you may need to use ILL. This should not cost you anything. If I'm wrong about this, let me know. As a faculty member, I get ILL for free. I can order articles for you if it turns out that students need to pay.

For Isaiah: Don't search on dasein, search on daseinsanalysis. The former term is existential philosophy, not psychology. Related, but not the same thing.

For Steve: I think it would be useful to discuss how daseinsanalysis was derived from psychoanalysis (if indeed it was). Again, use ILL to get the articles if you can't find them here. I'll make the request if you have to pay for them.

Hello Group 12 -- you've done a great job so far!I like how you're discussing changes to the article in the To-Do section. Lead section comments

I think your lead is fantastic Steve! I think that we need to get on common ground on what Daseinsanalysis really is. I feel a little mislead by what I am shaping it to be in my mind and I want to be on the same page. I found this assignment pretty tough and couldn't really find the proper way to talk about our topic. Anyway, onto talking about your lead. I think that we came across the same information in our research. I think that your lead could have given a bit better preview on what the whole article is going to be about. Which I think is the history of Daseinsanalysis, compare it to psychotherapy, and explain the main theories of Daseinsanalysis. I think you might have added to your section as I was writing this because the last section of your lead does better at talking about the differences between theories. I think our lead paragraphs have to be really refined to talk about what we are going to do with the article because I don't think we can take on the whole topic of Daseinsanalysis with just the two of us. Feedback on Assignment 6

For both of you: First, I think we can assume that Tim Karels is not a player, even though he has not dropped the class. I'm glad you're not waiting for him to contribute. That said, you are doing a fantastic job. I think that a meld of your two lead sections will be a great start to the next assignment.

For Isaiah: I agree with Steve's comments - great job on this. Just a few suggestion for changes. First, you need to proofread. There are a couple of minor errors like no space after a period. The title of Heidegger's book, Being and Time, should be capitalized and linked to the Wikipedia article. See Martin Heidegger, second paragraph for example. Second, the writing is choppy in places and in some cases you did not write complete sentences. However, the content is good and interesting.

For Steve: I really like what you've done. It is very well written and organized, and makes me want to read more. I can't think of any changes to suggest.

Dr. Council's comments on Assignment 7

Hello Group 12. This is excellent work! I've enjoyed learning about daseinsanalysis from your article. I just have a few suggestions for changes, but it is basically ready to go. Comments follow:

1. The lead is good. Don't worry about the ToC. It generates automatically from the headings, and will got where it should be.
2. The Theory of Dasein: This section doesn't need expansion. Just link to the Wikipedia article on dasein.
3. Daseinsanalytical therapy: This section is very good, but needs proper reference citations. Most just seems to be from one source, so mix in some more references. I think this section is also a bit too long and detailed. You should edit it down - maybe take out a couple of hundred words.

Once again, nice job! You'll have very little to do for complete credit on Assignment 8, and then it's ready to publish to the main article space.

Very nice work. A couple minor formatting things - please remove the spaces between the period at the end of a sentence and the references (there are a few cases where you have an extra space).
