License tagging for Image:Opposite lock.JPG

edit

Thanks for uploading Image:Opposite lock.JPG. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.

African rallies and rally drivers

edit

Welcome to Wikipedia. Please note that I've once again reverted your changes in the Safari Rally article, and left an embedded note explaining the factual inaccuracy which obliged me to do so. I also replied on my talk page.

That would normally have been sufficient. However, I noticed you also edited Category:Kenyan rally drivers. Please note that this is not an article. It is a "Category page", showing a list of all the articles which have been tagged as such (namely Ian Duncan, Joginder Singh and Shekhar Mehta, two of which I am the major author/editor of). If you try to edit any of the above, you will see [[Category:Kenyan rally drivers]] at the bottom of the page. It is this tag which causes the pages to appear on the Category page.

If you want to write an article about Musa Locho, Carol Wahome or anyone else, please feel free to start them. Alternatively, you can start an article entitled "Kenyan rally drivers" (or "Kenyan motorsport", or whatever you feel is most appropriate), although be aware that they way not meet Wikipedia's criteria for notability and the articles may be deleted.
