Hi there Isisg2008. I wanted to thank you for your contribution to the Vincent D'Onofrio page. I undid your revision, but wanted to explain why. Had you requested a citation for any other line in the article, I would have left the notation there. But placing the 'citation needed' in the personal life paragraph will only invite vandalism. We've had repeated vandalism to that section of D'Onofrio's page, so much so that the article has nearly been locked down several times. A citation (such as it is) is actually on the edit page. If you take a look, WP:OTRS (the wikipedia help desk) posted a paragraph provided to us by D'Onofrio's personal representative. Both a WP:OTRS Administrator and I personally verified the identity of D'Onofrio's rep (live, in person, not just via internet) before allowing the information to be added to the article. Your request is a valid one, and we will cite a current article when one is available. We appreciate your support - it's been frustrating having to monitor the page constantly, but there is a very small fan contingent determined to change the information daily. The article is meant to concentrate on D'Onofrio's career, not on one sentence about his family life. TrishGow 23:33, 9 April 2007 (UTC)Reply
