Your recent edits

edit

Hello and welcome to Wikipedia. When you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion (but never when editing articles), please be sure to sign your posts. There are two ways to do this. Either:

  1. Add four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment; or
  2. With the cursor positioned at the end of your comment, click on the signature button (  or  ) located above the edit window.

This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is necessary to allow other editors to easily see who wrote what and when.

Thank you. --SineBot (talk) 23:45, 23 December 2013 (UTC)Reply

MfD nomination of Wikipedia:Make this site PG

edit

Wikipedia:Make this site PG, a page you substantially contributed to, has been nominated for deletion. Your opinions on the matter are welcome; please participate in the discussion by adding your comments at Wikipedia:Miscellany for deletion/Wikipedia:Make this site PG and please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~). You are free to edit the content of Wikipedia:Make this site PG during the discussion but should not remove the miscellany for deletion template from the top of the page; such a removal will not end the deletion discussion. Thank you. Keφr 12:17, 3 January 2014 (UTC)Reply

I'm going to report you if you don't stop

edit

I'm going to report you to Wikipedia, Ismael, if you don't stop writing about and to me. DaneOfScandinavy (talk) 11:11, 30 January 2014 (UTC)Reply

Although all users can issue warnings, let me remind you of some specific ones. Even if you have a conflict with a user with the same name (DaneOfScandinavy) on Wikia, you may not continue it here. If he doesn't mention the connection online, it's WP:OUTING, which should result in an immediate block. Even if he does mention the connection online, it still indicates that you are WP:NOTHERE to improve Wikipedia, which may result in an indefinite block unless you also make constructive edits. I see no constructive edits except some failed proposals in the Wikipedia namespace. Furthermore, DaneOfScandinavy (talk · contribs) has made it clear that he does not want you writing on his talk page; any further posts there will result in an immediate (as long as I'm online) block. I am an admin here, and can block you if you violate the guidelines. — Arthur Rubin (talk) 12:33, 30 January 2014 (UTC)Reply

It might be considered harassment if you continue spamming his page, so back of Ismael 755.The Northaptonshire pins (talk) 20:30, 30 January 2014 (UTC)Reply

You haven't stopped.

You have been blocked temporarily from editing for harassment. Once the block has expired, you are welcome to make useful contributions. If you think there are good reasons why you should be unblocked, you may appeal this block by adding the following text below this notice: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}. However, you should read the guide to appealing blocks first.

If you agree not to mention either of the editors anywhere on Wikipedia, nor access their talk pages, I might be tempted to unblock. However, you still haven't done anything potentially constructive on Wikipedia except comment on some failed proposals. — Arthur Rubin (talk) 17:07, 12 February 2014 (UTC)Reply
I am friends with bote editors and I agree to stop. Ismael Perez (talk) 03:43, 14 February 2014 (UTC)Reply
You agreed to stop, before. Please specify exactly what you are agreeing to stop. — Arthur Rubin (talk) 06:40, 14 February 2014 (UTC)Reply
You see, I'm very good friends with both contributors, Morten D. (DaneOfScandinavy) and Ryan VanGoethem (GVnayR), but they were bitter enemies on the Future Wiki on Wikia. Also, to mention Morten can be found on various sites and I have wrote to him on DenvaitART , YouTube and the Paradox wiki. It may have been seen as vanity, but I'm not trying to harass them or cause harm to this site. Ismael Perez (talk) 15:46, 14 February 2014 (UTC)Reply
I don't consider that good enough. You can still appeal the block, as I'm not on very much, but I don't see that you offer anything to Wikipedia, and you seem not to understand what you're doing wrong, even after it's been explained. — Arthur Rubin (talk) 05:31, 15 February 2014 (UTC)Reply
I'm still continuing the behaviour on the Danish Wikipedia. Ismael Perez (talk) 03:37, 17 February 2014 (UTC)Reply

Alright I'll stop

edit

Even though I know the user very well, Ill here by stop. --Ismael Perez (talk) 01:42, 19 February 2014 (UTC)Reply

You earlier said you would stop, and you didn't, but it may be due to your lack of understanding of the English language. Please tell me, in your own words, what you are going to stop, and I'll tell you whether it is enough for me to remove your block. — Arthur Rubin (talk) 00:29, 20 February 2014 (UTC)Reply
I am an expert speaker of American English because I live in The Bronx, New York, USA for about 12 years, (though I was born in Dominican Republic, which I could've speak English as a native language if Great Britain won the Siege Santo Domingo). Besides that, I do it because the target user, Morten D, is a friend of mine and I'm kind of obsessed with him. But if you'll like me to stop, well I'll stop. Ismael Perez (talk) 00:39, 20 February 2014 (UTC)Reply
You said you would stop earlier, and you didn't. If you will agree not to interact with or link to or discuss either of them in any way on Wikipedia, including commenting on their talk pages, commenting about them, replying to a comment from or about them, or linking to any Wikipedia attributes, including their User pages, User talk pages, or contribution lists, I might consider removing the block, although I'm not really sure why I should, as you have at most one constructive edit in all your time on Wikipedia. (Your support of new policies censoring Wikipedia are not constructive, although not actually damaging of Wikipedia, because no one agreed with the proposed policies.) If you violate this condition, or interact with or discuss them in any way I didn't think of, you will be blocked, and I will not entertain an unblock request. If either of them is damaging Wikipedia in some way, you may E-mail me; if an admin gives you specific permission to comment on one of them for reasons related to Wikipedia, you may do so, but you will still be blocked unless the Admin posts it on this talk page. — Arthur Rubin (talk) 03:46, 20 February 2014 (UTC)Reply

Re https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Talk:Siege_of_Santo_Domingo_%281655%29&diff=prev&oldid=596508333 ;

Discussion about an event, or what would happen if the event ran differently, has no place on Wikipedia. Article talk pages are only for discussion of what is and should be in the article. So, the edit is not in violation of the agreement, but is not constructive. — Arthur Rubin (talk) 20:43, 21 February 2014 (UTC)Reply

Well, I was thinking about the flag and cultural differences if it went different. Ismael Perez (talk) 21:55, 21 February 2014 (UTC)Reply
Hypotheticals have no place on Wikipedia unless commented on in reliable sources; and most do not, even then. This was just intended to inform you of Wikipedia policies and guidelines, so you would be less likely to be blocked or banned per WP:NOTHERE. Please try to make edits in keeping with Wikipedia policies and guidelines. — Arthur Rubin (talk) 03:16, 22 February 2014 (UTC)Reply
OK. About what you explained above, is it some kind of restraining order from a user and you gave me a caution and looking over me? Ismael Perez (talk) 15:35, 22 February 2014 (UTC)Reply
You can appeal to WP:ANI or WP:ARBCOM if you wish, but, as far as I'm concerned, if you make one bad edit before you make any good edits, you will be blocked per WP:NOTHERE. The edit I pointed to above was inappropriate, but not bad. You haven't yet made any edits which improve the encyclopedia or might lead to a potential improvement in the encyclopedia. — Arthur Rubin (talk) 18:55, 22 February 2014 (UTC)Reply
If I block you for other than harassment, I'll bring the matter to ANI for review. — Arthur Rubin (talk) 18:56, 22 February 2014 (UTC)Reply

Hello, I'm BracketBot. I have automatically detected that your edit to Americans in the United Kingdom may have broken the syntax by modifying 1 "[]"s. If you have, don't worry: just edit the page again to fix it. If I misunderstood what happened, or if you have any questions, you can leave a message on my operator's talk page.

List of unpaired brackets remaining on the page:

It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, BracketBot (talk) 03:03, 23 February 2014 (UTC)Reply

Request reason:

Only did it on my userpage and not on other sites. I wasn't writing about him either.

Decline reason:

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. File permission problem with File:Rinth Island screenshot.jpg

edit

Thanks for uploading File:Rinth Island screenshot.jpg. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file has agreed to release it under the given license.

If you are the copyright holder for this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either

  • make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
  • Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en@wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here. If you take this step, add {{OTRS pending}} to the file description page to prevent premature deletion.

If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en@wikimedia.org.

If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:File copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:File copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. You may wish to read the Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Sfan00 IMG (talk) 16:26, 8 March 2014 (UTC)Reply

Ways to improve Rinth Island

edit

Hi, I'm Ironholds. Ismael755, thanks for creating Rinth Island!

I've just tagged the page, using our page curation tools, as having some issues to fix. Please add references to your newly-created articles.

The tags can be removed by you or another editor once the issues they mention are addressed. If you have questions, you can leave a comment on my talk page. Or, for more editing help, talk to the volunteers at the Teahouse. Ironholds (talk) 05:43, 23 March 2014 (UTC)Reply
