Only a geographical closeness to some and a general interest in fast growing companies (thus my recent edits around unicorns and VC funded business).

I don’t think this would be considered COI, but to provide a very complete answer to your question: Looking through my edit history, in January 2019 I edited the William Curley page: I used to be a (very irregular) customer of their’s years ago, which is why/how I know of their existence. I’ve also been a customer of Mark’s & Spencer, which I edited around the same sort of time, but I think that’d apply to almost anyone in the UK.

I’ve no financial or legal interest in any of the companies I’ve edited, nor do I have any dispute, familial ties etc with any of them.

I still class myself as relatively new to the whole Wikipedia editing thing (I’ve dipped in and out over the years), still learning as I go, so is there a particular edit that’s of concern? Itsfini (talk) 09:06, 23 August 2020 (UTC)

Hi Itsfini. Thank you for that very comprehensive COI check there, certainly well beyond what is required! There is definitely no issue with any of that, being a customer of a company is totally fine regarding COI.

The reason for my query is that there are editors on here who are paid to go around tidying up companies articles, and your edit history had some of their patterns. Many thanks for clearing that up, and I apologise if my message seemed blunt. Cheers, 1292simon (talk) 08:01, 24 August 2020 (UTC)
