Speedy deletion nomination of N-O-M-A (band)

edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on N-O-M-A (band) requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a band or musician, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. Speedy deletion nomination of N-O-M-A (band)

edit

Hello Izac Cobain Johns.,

I wanted to let you know that I just tagged N-O-M-A (band) for deletion, because the article doesn't clearly say why the subject is important enough to be included in an encyclopedia.

If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to work on it, you can contest this deletion, but please don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. Fylbecatulous talk 13:48, 22 December 2014 (UTC)Reply

Hello, I know you are creating these articles in good-faith. Unfortunately however, not everything can be on Wikipedia. We have a notability guideline that must be met in order for articles to be retained. Otherwise Wikipedia would grow into a monstrosity of indiscrete information, with bands and companies utilizing its powerful search engine presence for promotion. Your articles also seemed to be a bit promotional, which raises these same concerns. Just understand your willingness and initiative to contribute to this project is still much appreciated. For more information on the notability guideline, see WP:BAND. Thanks and let me know if you have any questions. MusikAnimal talk 19:38, 22 February 2015 (UTC)Reply

Hello, I'm Kranix. I noticed that you made a change to an article, Nirvana (band), but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so! If you need guidance on referencing, please see the referencing for beginners tutorial, or if you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you.
