License tagging for File:BlufftonFarmersMarket.jpg

edit

Thanks for uploading File:BlufftonFarmersMarket.jpg. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information; to add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia.

For help in choosing the correct tag, or for any other questions, leave a message on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you for your cooperation. --ImageTaggingBot (talk) 18:06, 25 October 2010 (UTC)Reply

You've done everything right with File:BlufftonFarmersMarket1.jpg — you've stated that you're the author, so the image has a valid source, and you've given it GFDL and CC-by-sa-3.0 licenses, so the image has a valid license. It's easy to "add permissions to a photo already uploaded" — simply edit the image description page add the template code for the license under which you want to release the image. For example, if you want to license the already-uploaded image under the CC-by-sa-3.0 license, you'd edit the image page and type "{{cc-by-sa-3.0}}". That would count as licensing the file, and it also officially marks the image as being usable under that license. Nyttend (talk) 05:42, 15 December 2010 (UTC)Reply

I got it sorted out. It would be a nice addition if the upload process did not permit you to proceed without entering license details - considering that would be logical. (J03K64 (talk) 17:51, 19 December 2010 (UTC))Reply
