Hello, J24stein, and welcome to Wikipedia! My name is Adam and I work with the Wiki Education Foundation; I help support students who are editing as part of a class assignment.

I hope you enjoy editing here. If you haven't already done so, please check out the student training library, which introduces you to editing and Wikipedia's core principles. You may also want to check out the Teahouse, a community of Wikipedia editors dedicated to helping new users. Below are some resources to help you get started editing.

Hey J24stein. That content was really not in the right place (a DAB page). I put it in a sandbox for you, User talk:J24stein/sandbox, to see if maybe there isn't an article in there. There's plenty of editors around, and Cullen328 knows them all, who can give you a hand--first thing is to figure out what exactly the topic and title ought to be. Thanks, Drmies. I guess you thought of me because you heard that, in 1978, I marched in the "Straights for Gay Rights" contingent right in front Dykes on Bikes up Market Street in San Francisco, and therefore assumed I knew something. It was a massive protest against the Briggs Initiative. As for the three sources, the first is worthless here because it is speculation on Quora, a user edited website. The second, a book published by a university press, looks solid, especially since it is the University of Michigan, located in the state where I was born. The third journal source needs more research, since it is Volume 1 # 1, so it is a bit early to judge reliability. Certainly, a Wictionary listing would be appropriate. I would want to see more comprehensive sourcing to support a Wikipedia article about this term. Always happy to be of assistance. Cullen328 Let's discuss it 00:28, 4 May 2016 (UTC)Reply
