January 2012
editWelcome to Wikipedia, and thank you for your contributions. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, please note that there is a Manual of Style that should be followed to maintain a consistent, encyclopedic appearance. Deviating from this style, as you did in Pizza Hut, makes articles harder to read. Please take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you. Please don't change Book It to BOOK IT. Although that may be how it's written, its improper writing for an encyclopedia. Cutecutecuteface2000 (Cutecuteface needs attention) 17:40, 25 January 2012 (UTC)
"BOOK IT! is how the title is trademarked...from an encyclopedic standpoint, wouldn't you want to have an accurate legal depiction of how it's supposed to be written? Anything else would be false information, right? The other information that you reverted was ALSO outdated and incorrect information." (JKetchersid (talk) 19:25, 25 January 2012 (UTC))
- Wrong. As an encyclopedia of prose, content is written in normal prose form. That's a pretty standard idea in all sorts of written media, including other encyclopedias and news-services. But regardless of them or what you might think on your own, that's the long-standing and widely-supported consensus of how things are supposed to be here. Wikipedia:Manual of Style/Trademarks is very explicit about that. DMacks (talk) 19:43, 25 January 2012 (UTC)
- Fair enough.(JKetchersid (talk) 19:55, 25 January 2012 (UTC))
Please do not use styles that are unusual, inappropriate or difficult to understand in articles, as you did in Pizza Hut. There is a Manual of Style, and edits should not deliberately go against it without special reason. Thank you. Cutecutecuteface2000 (Cutecuteface needs attention) 21:15, 25 January 2012 (UTC)
