Talk page access
editAs an outcome of discussion of your UTRS appeal (number 43451) I shall restore talk page access to allow you to request an unblock here. However, please bear in mind that talk page access is likely to be removed again, with less chance of it being restored, if you continue to edit this page in unacceptable ways. Request reason:
I have been editing on Wikivoyage without disruption, and I've learned from this experience that disruption and edit warring is not gonna get you anywhere. I've been making good edits on WikiVoyage, and that has helped me learn wrong from right. The blocking admin thinks I am a good person, but my edits on Wikipedia before were disruptive. This was my fault, and I tried to correct it, but one thing led to another. I tried to apologize, but he wouldn't accept it because I should have known my restrictions were zero-tolerance, and that I should have used the article's talk page to discuss the issues. Again, this is completely my fault. The admins on WikiVoyage and MetaWiki also think I am a good person, and I reached out to them to ask for advice, which I kindly accepted and used for good. I understand that I was blocked for a series of WP:BADNAC closures and disruptive edits, and I tried to get unblocked (which I did, under restrictions), but then some edits of mine were reverted as non-neutral, and I accidentally breached my agreement to not go on another user's talkpage by discussing those edits with the person who reverted them (whom also accused me of edit warring). That won't happen again. I am still very frustrated about this block. From here on out, I will make improvement, not disruption.--User:JTZegersSpeak*Aura 15:41, 1 June 2021 (UTC)
Decline reason:
Part of the unblock conditions that you agreed to, as set out in detail here, was that you were not to edit any other user's talk page, aside from your own, John M Wolfson's, and editors who started conversations with you. You were given the opportunity to ask questions about those restrictions, your questions were answered, and you were explicitly warned that these conditions were zero-tolerance. Within 48 hours of being unblocked, you edited the talk page of another user, who had not started a conversation with you,and so clearly breached those conditions. I don't see how such a breech can have been 'accidental': to edit a user's talk page is a deliberate act. I therefore find that this request does not address the reason for your current block, and so I cannot accept it. GirthSummit (blether) 11:45, 4 June 2021 (UTC)
If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.
To whoever ends up reviewing this, you can still TBAN me from automated tools if you think that's necessary.User:JTZegersSpeak*Aura 20:44, 2 June 2021 (UTC)
- Further to my decline above, I'd like to apologise for accidentally archiving this section earlier - I clicked on the wrong link when trying to find your talkpage archive, which I wanted to read in order to understand what led up to your block. I see that your talk page access was revoked, and has been reinstated only to allow you to make this request. I am not minded to withdraw it again, in case you want to make another request which properly addresses the reason for your current block; please be advised though that it may be withdrawn again if you use this page for any other purpose. I wonder why this unblock request is happening now, rather than in six months' time as was discussed on Meta. While your WikiVoyage edits are good, its editing standards are more relaxed than Wikipedia's and you've made fewer than 500 edits to it. Unless another admin really thinks otherwise, I would strongly advise you to stick to WikiVoyage and its policies for the next six months before attempting another unblock request lest your talkpage access be revoked yet again. – John M Wolfson (talk • contribs) 15:09, 4 June 2021 (UTC)
I’ll check back in November, @John M Wolfson:. Just because I’m nice. User:JTZegersSpeak*Aura 16:28, 4 June 2021 (UTC)
Just because I’m nice.
Aaand you just got your talkpage access re-revoked; note to the UTRS team, do not reinstate it until November at earliest unless there's an incredibly good reason. Have fun at WikiVoyage. – John M Wolfson (talk • contribs) 16:36, 4 June 2021 (UTC)
