Orphaned non-free media (File:Superman Earth One.jpg)

Thanks for uploading File:Superman Earth One.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Hazard-Bot (talk) 04:11, 4 November 2012 (UTC)

Batcave

Surely there must be some better image than that?

Not only is it tough to see in this infobox, but it's from an elseworlds.

I'll have to look, but I think that there was an image in one of the annuals or anniversary issues. - jc37 04:08, 26 November 2012 (UTC)

Only an image from the 60's series for [[batcopter], And no images at all in batarang. - jc37 04:11, 26 November 2012 (UTC)
Now if only we knew where these pictures came from : ) - jc37 04:17, 26 November 2012 (UTC)
I agree, a better image is needed for Batcave. However... I think picking one for the infobox is going to be thorny, at best.
The images from Dork Review may be traceable with Google, but it looks like the have to be saved off since the url the blog uses doesn't directly point to the picture. (I've run the first one... the fll image comes up with a copyright date of 1948 and I think it's from a newspaper strip.) And sadly, I think some of the better ones are from Who's Who issues, so we cannot use them.
We also need to be careful on the image use in the article, right now most of them look like decoration.
As for the Batcopter, Batarangs, and Batboat... I really surprised someone hasn't come up with something from the comics for those. Though the would follow the format of Batmobile and Batplane.

For the Batcave, I think the wizard poster might be what you're looking for? I'll look around for the batarangs etc. - jc37 02:57, 27 November 2012 (UTC)
