Thank you for visiting.
editI started editing Wikipedia articles in May 2007.
I'm interested in contributing to articles about think tanks, reform movements, and politically oriented non-profits.
Articles on those subjects are bound to be contentious so I think it's especially important to adhere to the NPOV policy. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Jackjump (talk • contribs) 17:32, 28 May 2007
Your recent edits
editWelcome to Wikipedia, and thank you for your contributions. One of the core policies of Wikipedia is that articles should always be written from a neutral point of view. It appears you have not followed this policy at SourceWatch. Please always observe our core policies. Thank you. -- Ronz 21:45, 28 May 2007 (UTC)
Hi Ronz, I don't see that my edits at SourceWatch violate NPOV. Can you explain further? Jackjump 16:38, 4 June 2007 (UTC)
If you have a close connection to some of the people, places or things you have written about on Wikipedia, you may have a conflict of interest. In keeping with Wikipedia's neutral point of view policy, edits where there is a conflict of interest, or where such a conflict might reasonably be inferred from the tone of the edit and the proximity of the editor to the subject, are strongly discouraged. If you have a conflict of interest, you should avoid or exercise great caution when:
- editing articles related to you, your organization, or its competitors, as well as projects and products they are involved with,
- participating in deletion discussions about articles related to your organization or its competitors,
- linking to the Wikipedia article or website of your organization in other articles (see Wikipedia:Spam);
- and you must always:
- avoid breaching relevant policies and guidelines, especially neutral point of view, verifiability, and autobiography.
Accounts used solely for blatant self-promotion may be blocked indefinitely without further warning.
For more details, please read the Conflict of Interest guideline. Thank you. -- Ronz 21:45, 28 May 2007 (UTC)
Ronz, I'm happy to be able to say that I don't have a conflict of interest. Jackjump 16:38, 4 June 2007 (UTC)
