Hi there. You're recent FAC nomination was filed incorrectly. You failed to fill it in in the correct format, and you failed to inform the main contributors to the article. Next time, please inform the main contributors. Regards, D.M.N. (talk) 08:26, 11 October 2008 (UTC)
I appreciate that you are acting in good faith, but it is best if featured articles are nominated by people who have worked closely on them. In this way, they can give reasoned replies to reviewers and be familiar enough with the sources to act on suggested improvements. Someone who has not worked on the article can not provide this input, so the featured article candidate may continue on until opposition to it becomes so overwhelming that the article is failed; this takes away time from reviewers. While the History of Arsenal F.C. (1966–present) article is of reasonable quality, it is not yet featured article quality, and principle contributors must be consulted before a nomination, as required in the featured article candidate instructions. You might consider first working the article up through peer review and good article to prepare for WP:FAC. The FAC has been removed. SandyGeorgia (Talk) 09:46, 11 October 2008 (UTC)

AZ move
editI just noticed that you've moved the article AZ (football club) to Alkmaar Zaanstreek NV without any prior discussion. Could you explain why? Aecis·(away) talk 20:48, 28 October 2008 (UTC)
- Using parentheses is quite common on Wikipedia, when one word or name is used for more than one thing. See for instance James Baker (disambiguation), where you can see all the people named James, Jim or Jamie Baker who have a Wikipedia article. Jim Baker (politician) is about a politician, Jim Baker (footballer) is about a footballer, Jim Baker (frontiersman) is about a frontiersman. AZ (football club) makes clear that the article is about the football club called AZ, and not about the American rapper. There's nothing uncommon about the name of the article. Also, we have a special procedure for renaming articles, to avoid wars and fights breaking out on Wikipedia. It is outlined in Wikipedia:Requested moves. Basically, if you think that an article should be moved, you can propose a new name and ask the community for their opinion. If the consensus is that it should be moved, it will be moved. If the consensus is that it shouldn't be moved, it won't be moved. Aecis·(away) talk 20:18, 30 October 2008 (UTC)
- Not at all, and noone has said you are. My only point is that sometimes things can be done better when they're done in a different way. Aecis·(away) talk 10:58, 2 November 2008 (UTC)
What the heck? Why move 0.999....?
editWhy did you move 0.999... to 0.999......? (Please answer on the talk page for the article.) Thanks. Phiwum (talk) 19:59, 9 November 2008 (UTC)
There are two problems with the move: First, you used two unicode ellipses, which means six dots. That's uncommon. Second, for reasons explained on the talk page of the article, editors have settled on three dots rather than a unicode ellipsis. Phiwum (talk) 13:41, 10 November 2008 (UTC)
I wouldn't say there's a ban on unicode ellipses, but there has been a discussion on whether the best title for 0.999... involves unicode or not and the consensus was that three dots are better. (I wasn't part of the discussion, so you should see the talk pages for details.) Phiwum (talk) 18:39, 10 November 2008 (UTC)
Jappalang (talk) 23:09, 21 November 2008 (UTC)
比如你的zh:蒂埃里·亨利文章里的"givemefootball.com","jockbio.com","goal.com","deadspin.com"在这里会被认为是不可靠而被淘汰。 Jappalang (talk) 04:58, 22 November 2008 (UTC)
Jappalang (talk) 13:26, 18 December 2008 (UTC)
Jappalang (talk) 14:14, 18 December 2008 (UTC)

Jin (rapper)
editHey there, I reverted your move you made of Jin (rapper) to MC Jin. His stage name is simply Jin, as even stated on his official website. Unless you have an proof that he has changed his stage name, please do not move the article without discussing it first. Thank you. DiverseMentality 07:49, 18 December 2008 (UTC)
- all HongKong people called him either his Chinese name or the name "MC Jin", he also named himself "MC Jin" on a programme of radio--JackyCheung (talk) 11:15, 18 December 2008 (UTC)
That's true, but for the majority, he's known simply as Jin. I went ahead and added it to the alias field of the infobox. DiverseMentality 02:01, 19 December 2008 (UTC)
- um...but don't you think that no disambig is better?--JackyCheung (talk) 02:41, 19 December 2008 (UTC)
Not in this case because in English-speaking countries, he's not know as MC Jin, so someone searching under the name is very unlikely. Though MC Jin does avoid disambiguation, in this case, it's needed because readers will usually search for Jin, which is the whole purpose of the disambiguation page. Small note: Please reply here on your talk page. I like to keep discussions in one place and I have your talk page watched. Thank you. DiverseMentality 02:46, 19 December 2008 (UTC)
Disambiguation link notification for October 9
editHi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Scrabble letter distributions, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Japanese. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.
