Speedy deletion nomination of Jaco Snyman

edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Jaco Snyman requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hang on}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion, or "db", tag; if no such tag exists, then the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate and adding a hang-on tag is unnecessary), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. -- Boing! said Zebedee (talk) 14:20, 17 March 2011 (UTC)Reply

Your user page

edit

I have deleted your user page. User pages are intended for the volunteers who are here to help build the computer to say a little about themselves, if they choose, to help communication within the project. They are not for use as a home-page or as a place for CV and agent's details. The Userpage policy includes:

"you should avoid substantial content on your user page that is unrelated to Wikipedia. Wikipedia is not a general hosting service, so your user page is not a personal website. Your user page is about you as a Wikipedian, and pages in your user space should be used as part of your efforts to contribute to the project."

Also, it is unwise for young persons like you to give out too much detail about themselves on the internet. Please read Wikipedia:Guidance for younger editors. JohnCD (talk) 16:16, 17 March 2011 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion nomination of Jaco Snyman (South African actor)

edit

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

A tag has been placed on Jaco Snyman (South African actor) requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article, which appears to be about a real person, individual animal(s), an organization (band, club, company, etc.), or web content, does not indicate how or why the subject of the article is important or significant: that is, why an article about it should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.

If you can assert the notability of the subject, contest the deletion by adding {{hang on}} at the top of the article, immediately below the speedy deletion ({{db-...}}) tag (if no such tag exists, the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate), and give your reasons on the article's talk page, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself. You may freely add information to the article that would confirm the subject's notability under Wikipedia guidelines.

See the guidelines for specific types of articles: biographies, websites, bands, or companies. Lerdthenerd wiki defender 16:45, 17 March 2011 (UTC)Reply

Nobody said anything about "fake"; but Wikipedia is not a place to post your CV, for reasons I have explained above. If you keep trying, you may be blocked from editing. JohnCD (talk) 16:55, 17 March 2011 (UTC)Reply

Please refrain from writing autobiographical articles, as you did at Jaco Snyman (actor). Creating an article about yourself is strongly discouraged; if you create such an article, it may be deleted. All edits to articles must conform to our policies on no original research, neutral point of view, and avoid conflicts of interest. Please remember that Wikipedia is an online encyclopedia, not a personal webspace provider. If your achievements are verifiable and genuinely notable, and thus suitable for inclusion in Wikipedia, someone else will probably create an article about you sooner or later. (See Wikipedians with articles.) Thank you. bonadea contributions talk 11:25, 19 March 2011 (UTC)Reply

Removing Speedy at Jaco Snyman (actor)

edit

Welcome to Wikipedia. It might not have been your intention, but you removed a speedy deletion tag from Jaco Snyman (actor), a page you have created yourself. If you do not believe the page should be deleted, you can place a {{hangon}} tag on the page, under the existing speedy deletion tag (please do not remove the speedy deletion tag), and make your case on the page's talk page. Administrators will look at your reasoning before deciding what to do with the page. Thank you. - SDPatrolBot (talk) 11:35, 19 March 2011 (UTC)Reply

Please do not remove speedy deletion notices from pages you have created yourself, as you did with Jaco Snyman (actor). Please use the {{hangon}} template on the page instead if you disagree with the deletion, and make your case on the page's talk page. Thank you. - SDPatrolBot (talk) 11:53, 19 March 2011 (UTC)Reply

Please stop removing speedy deletion notices from pages that you have created yourself, as you did with Jaco Snyman (actor). If you continue, you may be blocked from editing Wikipedia. - SDPatrolBot (talk) 11:57, 19 March 2011 (UTC)Reply

You have been blocked indefinitely from editing for repeatedly inserting inappropriate articles about yourself, despite explanations and warnings. If all you want to do is to write about yourself, there is nothing for you here. Also, repeatedly removing speedy-deletion tags, and using IPs and another account, LadyGaGaFan190 (talk · contribs), to do that when you were warned. If you would like to be unblocked, you may appeal this block by adding the text {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}, but you should read the guide to appealing blocks first.
