Thank you for uploading File:Zerorigins.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the file. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their license and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. Bobby122 (talk) 15:42, 1 July 2010 (UTC)Reply

Your GA nomination of A Thousand Suns

edit

After thoroughly reviewing this article, I have decided to put it on hold   for good article status. There are numerous issues, but I put the article on hold because I believe they were all minor enough to warrant the seven days to address them. To see the comments about this nomination, click here. If you have any questions, please feel free to ask. Rp0211 (talk2me) 22:14, 19 June 2012 (UTC)Reply

Re: Thousand Suns

edit

If you cannot find a reliable source for something, then it has to be removed from Wikipedia to follow WP:NOR. In most cases, it won't affect the overall article, unless a significant amount of information is lost, making it not qualify as a good article for not having "broad coverage". Rp0211 (talk2me) 17:04, 21 June 2012 (UTC)Reply

Hey, Jal11497. Because of the number of outstanding issues that are faced with this article, I will have to fail it since the seven day period is over. In addition to the issues mentioned, I would go through the entire article to proofread it before you go to nominate it again. Rp0211 (talk2me) 18:42, 25 June 2012 (UTC)Reply

Non-free rationale for File:BenLocke.jpg

edit

Thanks for uploading or contributing to File:BenLocke.jpg. I notice the file page specifies that the file is being used under non-free content criteria, but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia is acceptable. Please go to the file description page, and edit it to include a non-free rationale.

If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified the non-free rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Hi. You changed "Shumpert" to "Bowman", but that is incorrect. Consequently, I've changed it back, cited AMC-TV as a source documenting the character's name and photo[1], and added to the character's description an explanation that some fans who don't know the character's name refer to him as "the bowman". - Froid 00:50, 2 April 2013 (UTC)

Disputed non-free use rationale for File:TWD, Episode 13 Burning Barn.jpg

edit

Thank you for uploading File:TWD, Episode 13 Burning Barn.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale provided for using this file on Wikipedia may not meet the criteria required by Wikipedia:Non-free content. This can be corrected by going to the file description page and adding or clarifying the reason why the file qualifies under this policy. Adding and completing one of the templates available from Wikipedia:Non-free use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your file is in compliance with Wikipedia policy. Please be aware that a non-free use rationale is not the same as an image copyright tag; descriptions for files used under the non-free content policy require both a copyright tag and a non-free use rationale.

If it is determined that the file does not qualify under the non-free content policy, it might be deleted by an administrator within a few days in accordance with our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions, please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you. Josh Milburn (talk) 23:44, 20 June 2015 (UTC)Reply

Replaceable fair use File:Jetfireimage.jpg

edit

Thanks for uploading File:Jetfireimage.jpg. I noticed that this file is being used under a claim of fair use. However, I think that the way it is being used fails the first non-free content criterion. This criterion states that files used under claims of fair use may have no free equivalent; in other words, if the file could be adequately covered by a freely-licensed file or by text alone, then it may not be used on Wikipedia. If you believe this file is not replaceable, please:

  1. Go to the file description page and add the text {{di-replaceable fair use disputed|<your reason>}} below the original replaceable fair use template, replacing <your reason> with a short explanation of why the file is not replaceable.
  2. On the file discussion page, write a full explanation of why you believe the file is not replaceable.

Alternatively, you can also choose to replace this non-free media item by finding freely licensed media of the same subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or similar) media under a free license, or by creating new media yourself (for example, by taking your own photograph of the subject).

If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified how these media fully satisfy our non-free content criteria. You can find a list of description pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that even if you follow steps 1 and 2 above, non-free media which could be replaced by freely licensed alternatives will be deleted 2 days after this notification (7 days if uploaded before 13 July 2006), per the non-free content policy. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Finnusertop (talk | guestbook | contribs) 18:23, 22 November 2015 (UTC)Reply

Do NOT perform cut-and-paste moves

edit

Do NOT perform cut-and-paste moves to move an article from one place to another. You did not create the content of SuperM - The 1st Mini Album, so you have no right to be cutting and pasting it elsewhere. Copying within Wikipedia requires attribution of the preceding users' contributions in the history. You have disregarded that another user made the content before you on another article by moving it elsewhere. Do not do this again or you will be reported to an administrator, because this is a serious issue. Next time, request the article be moved at WP:RM/TR if you can't do it yourself. Also see WP:Cut and paste move. Thank you. Ss112 17:06, 5 October 2019 (UTC)Reply

Hi, and thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you tried to give SuperM - The 1st Mini Album a different title by copying its content and pasting either the same content, or an edited version of it, into SuperM (EP). This is known as a "cut-and-paste move", and it is undesirable because it splits the page history, which is legally required for attribution. Instead, the software used by Wikipedia has a feature that allows pages to be moved to a new title together with their edit history.

In most cases, once your account is four days old and has ten edits, you should be able to move an article yourself using the "Move" tab at the top of the page (the tab may be hidden in a dropdown menu for you). This both preserves the page history intact and automatically creates a redirect from the old title to the new. If you cannot perform a particular page move yourself this way (e.g. because a page already exists at the target title), please follow the instructions at requested moves to have it moved by someone else. Also, if there are any other pages that you moved by copying and pasting, even if it was a long time ago, please list them at Wikipedia:Requests for history merge. Thank you. @Ss112: Hello! I saw your message and I deeply apologize for doing the copy-paste thing. I didn't realize it wasn't allowed, and I didn't know WP:RM/TR was a thing here. I'll make sure not to do it again, and thanks again for the links to the moving of history as well. Thank you! Jal11497 (talk) 17:59, 6 October 2019 (UTC)Reply

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Jessica Jung, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Daum (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

NCT 2020 Resonance Pt. 1 and Pt. 2 merge

edit

Hello Jal11497. I saw your name in Resonance Pt. 1's edit history and contributed to some of its content. Last December, we decided to merge Pt. 1 and Pt. 1 to a one article, here's the draft. I'm here to ask some help to finish the draft and proceed to merging. There's still some information needed in Background and release, Promotion, Commercial Performance and Recording and production (there's an interview/article on MTV talking about the Resonance album as a whole). You're help will be much appreciated. I hope for your favorable response. Thank you!Hiroctzen (talk) 06:00, 10 February 2021 (UTC)Reply

@Hiroctzen: Hello! I'm kinda busy but I'll try to help as much as I can. Thank you for merging them, by the way! Jal11497 (talk) 06:36, 10 February 2021 (UTC)Reply

Thanks for contributing to the article X Ambassadors discography. However, one of Wikipedia's core policies is that contributions must be verifiable through reliable sources, preferably using inline citations. Please help by adding more sources to the article you edited, and/or by clarifying how the sources already given support the claims (see here for how to do inline referencing).   Welcome to Wikipedia. We appreciate your contributions, but in one of your recent edits to Exo, it appears that you have added original research, which is against Wikipedia's policies. Original research refers to material—such as facts, allegations, ideas, and personal experiences—for which no reliable, published sources exist; it also encompasses combining published sources in a way to imply something that none of them explicitly say. Please be prepared to cite a reliable source for all of your contributions. You can have a look at the tutorial on citing sources. Thank you. 98𝚃𝙸𝙶𝙴𝚁𝙸𝚄𝚂 12:20, 3 January 2024 (UTC)Reply
