File copyright problem with File:Usyca-mike-young.jpg
editThank you for uploading File:Usyca-mike-young.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright and licensing status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the file. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem.
If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their license and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log.
You may wish to read the Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. Swarm X 21:39, 22 April 2011 (UTC)
Offer to do NPOV sweep after you're done on USYCA
editGreetings, your article is looking cleaner and more professional with each edit, solid work. Though I know it's tempting to include a lot of inside perspective, I think in the end you'll find the presentation and credibility of the page to be greatly enhanced the more neutrality is established. If you like, once you feel you've made your changes, I can come in and do a last NPOV sweep for you. If you feel it removes too much, you can always revert and seek a different opinion, but I honestly think you'll be pleased with my changes.
Looking at it from outside eyes is always tricky (why COI is so problematic), but one way is to apply the "huh!" test. Imagine reading the passages as a total outsider, and imagine whether your reaction would be "huh!" or "meh...". As an offhand example for me: "The organisation started up a month after DreamCricket started a pilot program to distribute free cricket equipment." That'd make me say "huh!", because someone taking initiative to hand out sports gear for an obscure sport, and thus inspiring a new organisation, is kinda cool even to an outsider. "The current president is John Smith" is more "meh...", unless, big unless, John Smith is famous in some shape or form. Otherwise it's pretty immaterial to the average reader, and anyone actually wanting to know would look at your website anyway.
So, hope my feedback was helpful and didn't chafe you too much in my iffy mood. I'd be happy to do a final NPOV sweep whenever you feel you've hit a stopping point, just let me know if interested. MatthewVanitas (talk) 03:33, 28 April 2011 (UTC)
Yes!
editI've found your insights to be very helpful, and I'm very appreciative. As evidence, I just removed the current president. Yes, by all means, do a NPOV sweep. After that's done, will the unreviewed template be removed?
Thanks, Jamie Jamieumbc (talk) 03:40, 28 April 2011 (UTC)

File source problem with File:USYCA-final1.1 tighter.tiff
editThank you for uploading File:USYCA-final1.1 tighter.tiff. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, please add a link to the page from which it was taken, together with a brief restatement of the website's terms of use of its content. If the original copyright holder is a party unaffiliated with the website, that author should also be credited. Please add this information by editing the image description page.
If the necessary information is not added within the next days, the image will be deleted. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem.
Please refer to the image use policy to learn what images you can or cannot upload on Wikipedia. Please also check any other files you have uploaded to make sure they are correctly tagged. Here is a list of your uploads. If you have any questions or are in need of assistance please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Sfan00 IMG (talk) 00:34, 8 November 2015 (UTC)
Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. The file File:Nathan and Chase Bracken.png has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
very unlikely own work
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated files}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the file's talk page.
Please consider addressing the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated files}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and files for discussion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. --TheImaCow (talk) 11:51, 24 March 2024 (UTC)
