editYour recent edit to List of peace activists appears to have added the name of a non-notable entity to a list that normally includes only notable entries. In general, a person or organization added to a list should have a pre-existing article before being added to most lists. If you wish to create such an article, please first confirm that the subject qualifies for a separate, stand-alone article according to Wikipedia's notability guideline. Thank you. ☾Loriendrew☽ ☏(ring-ring) 00:46, 2 June 2016 (UTC)

editI am trying to add the name of a leader of Vietnam Veterans Against the War who is in poor health. Should I wait until there is an obituary...such as the belated one of Donald Duncan that recently appeared in the New York Times? Jan Barry

editHello, Jan Barry. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about on Wikipedia, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a conflict of interest may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for article subjects for more information. We ask that you:

- propose changes on the talk pages of affected articles (you can use the {{edit COI}} template)—don't forget to give details of reliable sources supporting your suggestions;
- disclose your conflict of interest when discussing affected articles (see Wikipedia:Conflict of interest § How to disclose a COI);
- avoid linking to your organization's website in other articles (see Wikipedia:Spam § External link spamming);
- do your best to comply with Wikipedia's content policies.
In addition, you are required by the Wikimedia Foundation's terms of use to disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation. See Wikipedia:Paid-contribution disclosure.
Also, editing for the purpose of advertising, publicising, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. Thank you. That Tired TarantulaBurrow 18:11, 22 April 2024 (UTC)

{{adminhelp}} I was a guest speaker at a college literature class recently and the professor told the class that my Wikipedia page had glaring errors. I didn't create that page or its errors. If errors on Wikipedia can't be corrected, I would like to decline the dubious honor of being on this site.
