Hi Janon2,
I just did a revamp of the Christine Varney page. Tried to clean-up the page, and restructured/reorganized the content. I agree that the previous version of the page appeared largely based on promotional materials... In the new version the law firm material, as well as the white house links are cited for two bodies of facts - 1) Varney's educational credentials; and 2) her application of innovation market analysis. I don't see a problem citing the firm's material for Varney's education (it also appears on her resume that was placed in the Congressional Record by Sen. Specter), because there's no particular opportunity for spin. On the innovation market analysis, I don't think the White House release is particularly bias, although that can also be cited to http://money.cnn.com/2009/05/14/news/economy/christine_varney_monopoly_buster.fortune/index.htm (there's a sentence under the antitrust section to this effect).
Anyway, wanted to remove the peacock tag (and the needs cites tag) if you're comfortable with it.
