That is: 27-10 to keep. While I know that it’s not a strict vote-counting exercise, the usual rule of thumb is not to delete unless there is a strong consensus expressed to do so – i.e., give the benefit of the doubt toward keeping. Here, process was thwarted.
The administrator closing the AfD acted contrary to the consensus expressed at the AfD by making his/her own judgment that the content was not encyclopedic. The whole issue of alternate placenames is very much encyclopedic and has been the subject on ongoing debate among Wikipedians, for example at: Wikipedia talk:Naming conventions (geographic names) and the various disputes about whether to use “Danzig” or “Gdansk” for that city near the Baltic, etc.. Also, similar articles remain extant in several other Interwiki’s (since the article is deleted, the interwiki links are gone too, otherwise I could cite which), so they appear encyclopedic to people who speak other languages. Please restore the articles. Carlossuarez46 18:45, 28 June 2006 (UTC)
Deletion of the Twodeadsluts page
editI started a page for the band Twodeadsluts Onegoodfuck a while back and its mysteriously disappeared. They met the Wiki Policy for bands (they've done nationwide tours) and there was no discussion put up for deletion consideration. It's just gone. Could you please look into it?
Could I please have a copy of my Philip Riteman article?
editI worked hard on it, and it was deleted. Also, is there any way you could let me know what I need to change to keep this from happening again? Thank you very much.
I worked very hard on this article and it was deleated. Beforehand there was no proposed delete tag. I created the article about a cookware invention using multiple sources. I would like to re-write the article to make it not read so much like an advertisement (advantages section), which was the reson why is was deleated. I have never had an article deleated, so I am not sure how I can get it back to rewrite it. Thanks so much ChristopherMannMcKay 07:15, 31 December 2006 (UTC)
Could I please have a copy of the James Gamble Rogers IV
editI worked to make the bio more complete but through a chain of copyright violations the article was deleted. I wish to revise the article and not have the effort of the additions to the bio wasted. Thank you.

Fixya page
editHi,
I've prepared a page about Fixya the company which was deleted. I'm in contact with the editor who deleted it and how to get him convinced that this is a valid article. Can you please make it available to me?
Thanks. Yaniv.bl
