Hello you uploaded File:RevRobertHSmith.jpg with permission given by wife. What permission did she give? Wikipedia needs a free license that lets any one use it for any purpose. For example {{CC-BY-SA-3.0}} Graeme Bartlett (talk) 06:48, 8 January 2011 (UTC)Reply

Thank you for uploading File:RevRobertHSmith.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the file. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their license and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. Sfan00 IMG (talk) 21:06, 9 January 2011 (UTC)Reply

When adding links to material on external sites, as you did to Bridgit Mendler, please ensure that the external site is not violating the creator's copyright. Linking to websites that display copyrighted works is acceptable as long as the website's operator has created or licensed the work. Knowingly directing others to a site that violates copyright may be considered contributory infringement. This is particularly relevant when linking to sites such as YouTube, where due care should be taken to avoid linking to material that violates its creator's copyright. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously, and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If you believe the linked site is not violating copyright with respect to the material, then you should do one of the following:

  • If the linked site is the copyright holder, leave a message explaining the details on the article Talk page;
  • If a note on the linked site credibly claims permission to host the material, or a note on the copyright holder's site grants such permission, leave a note on the article Talk page with a link to where we can find that note;
  • If you are the copyright holder or the external site administrator, adjust the linked site to indicate permission as above and leave a note on the article Talk page;

If the material is available on a different site that satisfies one of the above conditions, link to that site instead. AussieLegend (talk) 12:25, 30 October 2011 (UTC)Reply

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Zayre, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Hyannis (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

File:FULC3.4.jpg missing description details

edit
Dear uploader: The media file you uploaded as:

is missing a description and/or other details on its image description page. If possible, please add this information. This will help other editors make better use of the image, and it will be more informative to readers.

If the information is not provided, the image may eventually be proposed for deletion, a situation which is not desirable, and which can easily be avoided.

If you have any questions, please see Help:Image page. Thank you. Theo's Little Bot (error?) 01:27, 14 April 2013 (UTC)Reply

MfD nomination of TimedText:LikeAPrayerSample.ogg.grc.srt

edit

TimedText:LikeAPrayerSample.ogg.grc.srt, a page you substantially contributed to, has been nominated for deletion. Your opinions on the matter are welcome; please participate in the discussion by adding your comments at Wikipedia:Miscellany for deletion/TimedText:LikeAPrayerSample.ogg.grc.srt and please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~). You are free to edit the content of TimedText:LikeAPrayerSample.ogg.grc.srt during the discussion but should not remove the miscellany for deletion template from the top of the page; such a removal will not end the deletion discussion. Thank you. — This, that and the other (talk) 03:38, 17 December 2013 (UTC)Reply
