Actually counting the amount of rumored characters plus the what-if fusions, there are actually more than 161 characters. Because the producers usually do change their characters number list like in BT2 when in IGN, they said there were going to be 100 characters but later there were actually 130. so that is possible. Also the transformations of the new Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi 3 characters actually do count as characters so there are actually way more. Johnny542 12:40, 11 September 2007 (UTC)

Well, the costumes would be cool....as long as you can ACTUALLY SEE what the costume is before you pick them this time, but I was never to big on alt costumes anyway. Yeah those Dragon Ball ones are really cool and all we need right now, now what we really need is more DBZ movie villians like Android 14 and 15, Hildegarn's first form and more DBGT characters like Eis Shenron and maybe even Goku Jr and Vegeta Jr. If they don't have at least some of these, I be pissed. Since it is the same as BT2, I don't think you get to see the costumes before you picked them. Hey, I was just thinking maybe they will put Hildegarn's first form in because in BT1, they only had most major villians final forms, ex-Bojack, Broly, Cooler and Janemba. So in BT2, they had all the forms for these characters. So bascially what I'm saying is that even though they didn't put Hildegarn's first form in in BT2, they have to and probably are going to in this game like they did with so many other villians and heroes. You don't know what you missing, it is actually pretty good, kind of like Bleach the show. And also how the hell is Eis Shenron the alternative costume of Nouva Shenron? That would be stupid if his alternative ice form shot fireballs from his hands. If he is in the game, that would be cool. Also I really do hope they change both Syn and Omega Shenron's attacks to the DBZ: GT types instead of some crappy-ass stupid attacks that he didn't really use except for the Blazing Storm, Dragon Thunder and Minus Power Energy Ball. Oh than I guess it would be okay to have her in the game. They should also change Super Buu's attacks, they are so crappy and stupid, first of all Super Buu's first form needs his Genocide Blast to be more accurate instead of widespreading. Secondly Super Buu w/Gotenks needs to change his Ultimate Attack (Super Kamehameha) to a Super Buu Ghost Attack, to give it a more anime feel. Finally, Super Buu w/Gohan needs the Full Power Energy Ball for his Ultimate Attack like he used against Vegito instead of an stupid ghost attack he didn't even use. It would give all his attacks a more anime feel to them instead of stupid and crappy attacks. Hopefully the producers will put and make some changes with both Syn Shenron and Super Buu. Yeah, a more anime feel would be nice. However, the attacks themself I dont have too much of a problem with. I dont like the way you pull them off, at least in the Wii version. It was too simple, and all the characters only have a few repetitive blasts. No, no new characters have ever been on the official site actually. All the characters they have ever updated we already knew exsisted by that time. And in case you didnt realize this yet, the japanese site updates every week on Tuesday. Well its just so freaking weird. Also what about Salza's aura, I don't think it should be pink? Yeah, I was thinking that they really, really need to make Captain Ginyu Body Change with the person you are REALLY fighting against like in Budokai 3. In the last game, you would change with random persons and that got really fucking annoying since one time I changed with Goku and the Goku I was fighting was still there! Since they are making this game even more anime-filled (example go to youtube and look up Dragon Ball Z: BT3- Super Genkai Danka (The Super Spirt Bomb) or something like that)- they maybe might put this addition down, I don't care if I can't used any abilites when I change like in Budokai 3, I just want something like that in this game, what do you think? Yeah, I also found out on youtube that Majin Buu (Fat Buu) has a Super Kamehameha instead of a stupid Flameshower Breath and that Super Vegito and Ultimate Gohan possibly have non-chargeble Super Kamehameha and that they finally fixed Captain Ginyu Body Change to be like the anime type. To watch this, go to the talk page of DBZ: BT3 on Wikipedia and then go under the section Piccolo Mid Possibly Confirmed and look for the most recent post there showing a youtube video editied this and it will show a tralier and then a video of different characters. No, I havent seen those video yet, I will soon. And yes I am also really hoping they have his first form, I dont know why they wouldnt, but I have a feeling they will leave him out again. Well, there missing GT Goten, GT Trunks, General Rildo (and his Metal version), and Kid Krillin (THEY NEED KID KRILLIN). If they have those four than Im happy! Yeah they do need the GT counterparts of Vegeta, Trunks, Goten and Gohan, General Rildo and all his forms, Kid Krillian, Andriod 14 and 15, Eis Shenron, Bio Broly, the Golden Great Ape (I don't really care if its a trasnformation or a seperate character) and of course Hildegarn's first form. Since the game comes out in the US Novemeber and in Japan just about next week on Thursday, who knows, they might actually put them in because if they want a good DBZ game and if they want to fill in the entire Story Mode, they need to put them in. It will be so stupid if you only had to fight Andriod 13 in the story mode with just about everybody featrued and that Hildegarn's final form will only be fought in Story Mode but I am confident that they will times infinity put all these talked about-rumored characters in. Well, I think that all characters have all pretty much been revealed already. Theres 161, and it doesnt look like theyre planning on anymore. Even though it sucks, its probabaly true. Also, Nouva looked the same only he had an orange shell over his skin, I just would like that form in....I guess it isnt really too necessary though. Well you might be wrong because that Japanense guy Ryo something said that there were 10 more characters meaning that there are about 30 characters. Meaning that there are more characters out there. Besides, in BT2, they said there were only 100-120 characters until the Character Guide and when the game came out, there was about 134 characters (including the Japanese ones). Just go check the Wikipedia article of BT2. So I'm still not losing hope for now. Let's just cross our fingers. Also the characters I also want in the game are Teen Trunks and his Super Saiyan form, Toma and his Great Ape form and Piccolo Mid which is bascially Piccolo and Nail fused together. Well, now I geuss we can only hope there will be some new characters left to unveil. I dont think there is a Piccolo mid, but thats okay because Piccolo didnt go through any real changes between the start and his fusion with Nail. Yeah well it still would be interesting to have a Piccolo Mid. Basically if there is a Piccolo Mid, he should have different attacks from Early. Anyway did you know that the cutscences and the Story Mode in BT3 are much better than before. You can even kill your enemies in one hit KOs in decisive battles like with SS Goku and Full Power Frieza and probably hopefully with SS2 Gohan and Super Perfect Cell. Hey, I was thinking, they should change one of Super Buu's attacks to a Mouth Blast shot from his mouth like from the anime. Hey have you noticed that all the Explosive Waves and Super Explosive Waves are all much different. They look cooler too. Yeah thanks, anyway why did they change the site for BT3? in Wikipedia. That was stupid and it was perfect the way it is. Anyway was there any mention of any new cool characters in BT3 at Japan because if there isn't that would be a shame. I guess they can't say anything here because it would be a Japanese but on youtube, I keep seeing from people's youtube talk sections that there is a Adult Goten, Andriod 14 and 15 and lots of other guys. Actually it will in some parts, first of all Syn/Omega's Shenron's attacks are virutally the same from the previous games except that the look cooler. Second Hildegarn doesn't have a first form, sucks doesn't it and he has the same moves except cooler, also Cell Juniors don't have different attacks from their previous ones. They also don't have a Piccolo Mid aka Piccolo Sync with Nail, they decided just to mix both Early and Mid together because they are virutally unchanged except that he is more powerful by the Frieza Saga. Well this game is still cool as hell, the only problem is that they might not have a GT Vegeta to be the base for SS4 Vegeta and that I think they don't have more coustumes. Hopefully sometime in 2008, they might make a Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi 4. Oh yeah I forgot to mention, they fucked up with Ginyu's Body Change again, he body-changes with random person's, not just the person you are fighting. Spike did a poor job again. Hmm, I dont know if hes an alt costume. GT Vegeta isnt too great of a character though, I think its fine just having SS4. But WHY THE HELL DONT THEY HAVE HIRUDEGARNS FIRST FORM! Well, my complaints for the last game were: sucky AI, difficult controls, repetitive attacks, and a lack of good Dragon Ball characters. And but what Ive seen so far, the AI is okay I guess, the attacks are slightly less repetitve, the controls look a lot better, and now they have some nice characters. Yeah I was wondering why the didn't have Hildegarn's first form. I guess they were too lazy or too stupid, which one do you think it is? Anyway just becaue he can't fly in his first form doesn't mean he isn't a great character. And where the hell are Andriod 14 and 15 and Eis Shenron in this game? It would be quite a bore to not have them, I am not about to fight 13 with just Goku, Trunks, Vegeta and Piccolo in the Story Mode like in the last game, that will be stupid and a waste of a good movie. Yeah, I have no clue why they didnt put his first form in, I really liked it. And yeah, you brought up a good point, that would be a waste of the movie. That really makes me wonder how the story mode will turn out, hopefully better than last time, Tenkaichi 2's story was rather bland and boring. You just flew around and fought, nothing fun. Well... its just going to do both a lot better and worse in this game. Yeah there was, its called Naruto: Shippudeen or something like that, if you want to know more about this, just go to the Naruto wikipediapage. Yeah, Naruto's older and taller and so is everybody else. Its not in the US yet, only in Japan but you can watch it on youtube and onemanga.com. Also did GT Vegeta ever turn Super Saiyan 2 when he fought against Super 17 because I don't remember. It seems that Super Saiyan 2 was canceled out from GT for some reason but this is only an opinon. Yeah, I dont think anyone went Super Saiyan 2 in GT. People say Goku did when he fought Rildo but that was never confirmed. Yeah, it seemed like everybody went straight from SS1 to 3 or 4. Yeah well whats the new feature, I can't go on it right now becuase the stupid teachers blocked all the good sites now, again after they unblocked it. Yeah your right SS2 was never used in GT, not even against General Rildo, if Goku did, he would have won easily but for some reason, he chose to fight him in his SS form. Anyway, they blocked all the good stuff at my school, I am so pissed right now. Wait never mind, they didn't block, thank goodness. Anyway, I heard that in Bt3, all the giant characters are now faster and have more combos, if this is true, that would be cool since Hildegarn, Gian Slug and maybe Janamba need improvements seriously since they are too slow, even slower than Super Trunks (Ultra Super Saiyan Trunks). Anyway, what was the new feature again on the website for BT3 and did you check out the new selection of characters I made, it looks pretty good. Bt3 is going to be so cool. You actually get to change the auras of the characters, I heard. If you want to see this, go to my main page and go to the SS Pan video and you see it. You can change the auras to green, blue, yellow, purple, pink, SS and more. When I get this game, I'm going to change Bojack's aura to be green instead of blue and Ubb's aura to be blue instead of yellow. Since he does act gay in the game but for some reason he doesn't really in the movie, just did him a purple aura. Also I wonder if you can give Andriods a aura. Also I might change Cell's aura to be SS instead of fake SS to make him even cooler. I wish though that Nuova Shenron had a better UB like the one he used to try to take out Omega Shenron. A giant fireball that erupts into smaller fireballs. Its no too cool but its all right but I would have prefered if he could use the Suicide move he used against Omega Shenron. Well...You might be disappointed. Go to my main page and look for Alternative Costumes 3 youtube video and it will show you at least 3 or 4 sections with characters with their many different costumes. Don't get to excited, it doesn't have all the costumes you and I will hoped for like Trunks doesn't have his bunless alternative costume in his Armor costume and Tien doesn't have the outift he wore in the Buu Saga. No..It is a lot different, the cutscenes are cooler and there are what-if scenes that you can change the story depending who wins or loses, so basically for the Imperfect Cell part, you can either kill Cell or just let him become Perfect and continue the story. Also did you see those hot pictures of thos anime girls from Naruto and Bleach and did you check out the videos on my main page, pretty hot huh? Look at the Denise Milani pictures, she is super sexy. Also why is GT Goku's Spritit Bomb too small, in GT it was huge, even bigger than the Super Spirirt Bomb and should have covered the entire screen, hopefully Spike will fix this in a next sequel. A Super Spirit Bomb should be even bigger though, but I wouldnt want to go against the anime. Yes, Spike has much to fix, but they did an OK job I guess. I cant really know for sure until it comes out. Im going to try to reserve the game later today at GameStop. I also want to see if I can reserve Super Smash Bros. Well what about his Final Shine attack, that is one change he has, also his hair and muscules are much diffrent from his End form. What do you mean mid/end chracters suck? Those characters are cool. DO you really want to play as only one Piccolo like from BT2? Thank god they changed the main characters up a whole bunch. If they make a BT4, they really need to improve Trunks and add more Trunks. Also they should improve Captain Ginyu and put more GT and movie characters. I still think they could have given Piccolo three forms, the form with the Nail Fusion would probably be one of those energy barrage attacks, like Vegeta's "Super Energy Wave Volley", another rush attack (showin the attacks Piccolo does after powering up the first first time), and his UB could've been the one handed blast he did to Freeza while he sill had the cape and turban on. They just want different attacks for all those different types of the characters. DO you really want to use a Light Grenade for Piccolo in his Early form? To me, it is very good the way the made it since they want to divide the characters attacks up. Hatchiyaku I think could be a video game character and a good character for a BT4. Well I think they should simply have each character have more moves, so one Piccolo (not specificially mid or end or whatever) would do all his main moves throughout the series. I could easily do without half the characters as long as they took the good ones and gave them a big makeover. Well you cant submit vids from other sites unless you have them saved to your computer. You can submit a few video formats I think, Im not exactly sure which work, I know wmvs works. You just click upload and get the file off your computer to upload it. It takes a while for it to show up though, usually about 30 minutes to an hour. Hey, I got Tenkaichi 3 on saturday!!! And yeah, the story is really great, theres no map or anything just fight after fight which I actually prefer. But the fights now have dialougue and cut scenes rolled into the them which is pretty cool and make it more like the anime. I only tried online play once and got my ass kick instantly but luckily the terrible internet connection stopped the fight before I could be humiliated any further. Im not sure exactly with the story mode its odd. Like in the middle of a battle an icon will appear and if you press a button either a cutscene or some kind of attack will happen. I dont know if hitting these affects the next level but its possible it makes branching story elements. So far their has been no Dragon Ball story though it started at the Saiyan Saga. I believe you play the Early Piccolo in the earlier sagas, but Im pretty sure it switches to the End Piccolo in the Garlic Jr. saga and after. And the first saga was Saiyan, then Frieza, then Android, then Buu, and then theres the Special saga which goes through all the DBZ movies. Well its hard to say I really didnt look through the costumes well, pretty much all the main heroes and like all the middle, end people do. But no signifigant changes like the loss of an arm or helmet though. And now I'm still in the Special Saga, which just goes over the movies, I'm on the Broly movie and its super hard. Hey when you are fighting as Broly, are you also fighting Trunks (Armor) or just Trunks (Sword)? I want to know this because in Bt2, Trunks Armor was the only one of the Z-fighters to be able to break Broly's brick effect aside from if you transform into a more powerful form. Yeah, you fight Trunks with the armor, and I forget if he could break it or not. And Android 13 has pretty much the same attacks. I forget most of Piccolo Early's but i know the End version has Light Grenade and the Ultimate Blast for Early is Special Beam Cannon. And I havent really tried out Nail honestly, Ive been pretty much been doing Dragon History and the online battle modes so far. I havent honestly tested Babadi yet, and Im still on the Bojack level. But it is much easier to dodge attacks in this game, too easy even, all the AI escape my kamehamehas and Spirit Bombs with ease. But you can also dodge their attacks easily. And the characters have a simpler combo system, let me put it this way, its very repepetitive. Like if you keep pressing the standard melee button youll just keep punching/kicking until you do this thing where you smash them up then hit them away, its panifully easy to do this simple combo and I use it constantly, cuz Im noobish like that. Yeah, also since I have the PS2 version, I am able to use the Bt2 memory file I saved to unlock not only Dragon fighting levels but also all the characters from the previous game so basically I don't have to go around and unlock everybody and only need to unlock just the new characters which is just 20 so lucky me but your lucky to because of online multiplayer. Yeah, Sonic is so cool. I still like the older games like that Sonic and Knuckles game and Sonic Adventures game. I like Super Sonic, Super Shadow, Super Knuckles and all the other supers lol. Also in Bt3, is there really a Battle Replay that lets you replay and save a battle after a fight, that would be so cool. Well, yeah, you can play Mario and Sonic in that game, but I think the game youre talking about is Mario & Sonic at the Olympics, which I thought was pretty sucky, you can play a lot more than just Sonic and Mario characters in Brawl though!
