New and Posting an Article for which I have COI
editHi, I am a new user and have been working on updating the article of Ronald DePinho. It has been flagged for a few problems and I am trying to learn how to use Talk to engage editors in discussing these and getting guidance on adding some important missing materials.
I would like to disclose here that I write articles, including my update to his Wikipedia article, on behalf of Dr. DePinho and in consultation with him for a small fee. I intend to follow all of Wikipedia's guidelines, including those on WP:COI, WP:RS, WP:V and WP:NPOV, very closely. My aim is to work with and seek advice from impartial editors to make positive contributions to Dr. DePinho's article, hopefully leading to a much-improved article. On any pages where I look for assistance, I will be sure to disclose my relationship to Dr. DePinho in the interests of transparency.
HELP WITH TALK: The page was recently flagged as not being neutral and sounding like a resume. I respect the editors' opinions about this, and have made a few changes to address their concerns. I believe that the article is very comparable to the Wiki articles of several of his peers. I'd like to start a Talk conversation about this but am having technical difficulties starting that conversation.
I would appreciate any help you can provide to ensure that I disclose my COI correctly at all times, and gain approval for my work.
(By the way, I am interested in becoming an editor for my own pages. I am currently preparing a page about The Cancer Moonshot program operating under the federal National Institutes of Health (NIH). I will not have any conflict of interest for that page.)

- Actually, WP:PAID applies, so you should explicitly state on your User page that you are being paid by Depinho. And given that, not edit the article directly, nor remove any tags. The proper path for improving the article is to start a section on the Talk page and make specific change requests there, and request editorial review of those changes. A non-connected editor with either accept and implement the changes, or refuse the request. David notMD (talk) 21:27, 9 August 2021 (UTC)
