Copyright Issues on the Lambda Chi Wikipedia Page
editJason as Lambda Chi's IT guy you can answer my question. Has IHQ released all text on the lambdachi.org site under Creative Commons? Is there any free use agreement as to content on the page? I know it has routinely been used on chapter webpages, but I would like for us to be able to use it temporarily until I, or someone else, can rewrite it. I am sure you are busy with the new LCA webpage and I can't wait to see it. Airpear 18:49, 15 August 2007 (UTC) EM1843
Verifying Information
editYou've been doing a lot of (great, imho) work on the LCA alumni list. As my latest comment on the talk page, and the discussion under "alumni" reveals, there're a good deal of misconceptions about who is and isn't an alumnus in this fraternity. Are there any published sources you could cite to help out here? Any online lambdachi.org sources? I think that could really help with the article. --nZAX, Vijay 00:02, 8 April 2006 (UTC)
Ritual: What and Why
editDo you know if there are any plans to update Ritual? Who is in charge of it? I was considering typing up a .pdf copy, so that it could be distributed in a form that would be searchable (rather than the current .pdf of scanned images) and cleaner, but I would need to work with someone from IHQ. Especially since I don't have access to the images used to create the original. There are also some misconceptions (in the bit about heraldry) that could use some cleaning up, but again, I don't want to attempt the project unless it would be well recieved. — Vijay 07:03, 9 May 2006 (UTC)
Disambiguation link notification for March 2
editHi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Riverview Health, you added links pointing to the disambiguation pages Hamilton County, Tipton County and Riverview Hospital. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Managing a conflict of interest
editHello, Jasonpearce. We welcome your contributions to Wikipedia, but if you are affiliated with some of the people, places or things you have written about in the article Riverview Health, you may have a conflict of interest or close connection to the subject.
All editors are required to comply with Wikipedia's neutral point of view content policy. People who are very close to a subject often have a distorted view of it, which may cause them to inadvertently edit in ways that make the article either too flattering or too disparaging. People with a close connection to a subject are not absolutely prohibited from editing about that subject, but they need to be especially careful about ensuring their edits are verified by reliable sources and writing with as little bias as possible.
If you are very close to a subject, here are some ways you can reduce the risk of problems:
- Avoid or exercise great caution when editing or creating articles related to you, your organization, or its competitors, as well as projects and products they are involved with.
- Avoid linking to the Wikipedia article or website of your organization in other articles (see Wikipedia:Spam).
- Exercise great caution so that you do not accidentally breach Wikipedia's content policies.
Please familiarize yourself with relevant content policies and guidelines, especially those pertaining to neutral point of view, verifiability of information, and autobiographies. Note that Wikipedia's terms of use require disclosure of your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation.
For information on how to contribute to Wikipedia when you have a conflict of interest, please see our frequently asked questions for organizations. Thank you. Missvain (talk) 04:35, 1 April 2015 (UTC)
I thought I did use great caution and updated that my employer changed names from Riverview Hospital to Riverview Health. I did disclose my employer and affiliation, which is noted in my author page and on my personal blog. I don't contribute often, but when I do, I attempt to be accurate and add value. Thanks for the reminder. jasonpearce (talk) 18:50, 30 June 2018 (UTC)
Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. Important Notice
editPlease carefully read this information:
A community discussion has authorised the use of general sanctions for pages related to blockchain and cryptocurrencies.
The details of these sanctions are described here.
All articles related to the blockchain and cryptocurrencies, broadly construed, are placed under WP:1RR (one revert per editor per article per 24 hour period). When in doubt, assume an edit is related and so is a revert.
Any uninvolved administrator may, at his or her own discretion, impose sanctions on any editor working in the area of conflict if, despite being warned, that editor repeatedly or seriously fails to adhere to the purpose of Wikipedia, any expected standards of behavior, or any normal editorial process.
Sanctions imposed may be appealed to the imposing administrator or at the appropriate administrators' noticeboard.
