Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, adding content without citing a reliable source, as you did with this edit to Dumb blonde, is not consistent with our policy of verifiability. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. If you are familiar with Wikipedia:Citing sources, please take this opportunity to add references to the article. Posted By Alex Waelde (talk) 20:55, 2 October 2009 (UTC)Reply

the addition of "(her name was kim)" this edit is not relevant or part of the joke. this is simply a notification. not a warning. please make sure you can cite additions to current data to prove its validity. see you around. Posted By Alex Waelde (talk) 21:01, 2 October 2009 (UTC)Reply

I undid your reversion of a comment on the discussion page - despite being unsigned, the comment seemed to me to be worthy of a response. Rjm at sleepers (talk) 10:50, 3 October 2009 (UTC)Reply

Your warning on User talk:Mttcmbs

edit

I see that after he complained about someone reverting his edit, you reverted and warned him. It looks like you realized your mistake, and reverted yourself, but you haven't removed your warning. Could you kindly do so? Thanks. Until It Sleeps TalkContribs 14:48, 16 October 2009 (UTC)Reply

Your signature

edit

Also, I couldn't help but notice that you have images in your signature. It is Wikipedia's policy that images in signatures are explicitly forbidden. I would recommend reading up on the signature policy to see exactly what is and isn't allowed. Until It Sleeps TalkContribs 14:56, 16 October 2009 (UTC)Reply

I haven't done much vandalism patrolling on Spanish Wiki; I mainly perform article creation & maintenance there. I think HG is faster on English Wiki though. --Nsaum75 (talk) 09:40, 1 November 2009 (UTC)Reply

Actually, Javierito, the blanking was done by the article creator, which as you know is permitted as a way to ask for speedy deletion.... thanks, Shawn in Montreal (talk) 19:31, 6 November 2009 (UTC)Reply

Yes, it's difficult to pick up on that when you're using Huggle, which only shows you the last edit. You'd have to go back and check the history. But it's all the same in the end, anyway. Shawn in Montreal (talk) 19:35, 6 November 2009 (UTC)Reply

Wow Javierito92!

Very efficient choice of Tools!

I noticed you use Twinkle, Huggle and Lupin's Anti-Vandal Tool as well as me!

I have run into 10 of your reverting edits as I try to rollback them!

Just to say, well done!

Thunder Collins

edit

Hello, I did a Courtesy Blank on Thunder Collins.

I did not intentionally mean to "attack" him and apologize that it came off that way.

I searched for a page for him on Wikipedia and found none, so decided to start one. The only recent info that I had was the current info about his situation.

I assumed that others would come along and add to his biography, but instead it was viewed as an attack on the person, which it wasn't.

It seems that I have come under attack by a few users on my posts, but I have made posts without logging in previously that were not viewed as spam.

It's weird that once I joined and started posting as a logged in user, I became a target.

I subscribe to a Celeb/News Blog and when info comes through the Feed, I check Wikipedia to see if it has already been posted and provide a Source.

Blogs as sources are allowed from what I have read in the policies. It would be unfair for a Source to have to be a big name news site.

If my source was a particular blog, then that is what I cite.

I've also noticed that many times Users will delete my source, but keep the news from that source reported. This is not how I understood Wikipedia to work. Anything that I post deserves to have a source added to it. So, if a blog is my source, why should I not give them credit for it.

According to the Guidelines that I have read, we are first to assume that the Editor is editing in Good Faith. I have been, but many have simply attacked me as a spammer without considering that I provided valid info on a topic.

Please talk with me before the threats of Blocking me. I am not a spammer, just an eager User. Now, that I have joined and started posting under my User name, I have seen the True Colors of Wikipedia. My anonymous posts are still untouched somehow, but they also link to various blogs.

Please advise if I should begin posting anonymously again, since I did not have these sorts of issues before. My content and sources were considered valid then and should be considered valid now.

Thanks for listening. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Niac7 (talkcontribs) 15:56, 14 November 2009 (UTC)Reply

30000 year old fossil bones

edit

The user John Bot has proposed on 23 April 2008 that the article ‘Human fossil bones from the Muierii Cave and the Cioclovina Cave, Romania’ should be part of Wikiproject Geology. This is inappropriate because the contribution belongs mainly to Anthropology and Archaeology. In the meantime the user John Bot has been blocked indefinitely by Wikipedia.

The contribution is about two human fossil bones having an age of 30000 years, which is the period when Homo sapiens entered Europe from the East, and therefore are very significant for the early European history. I hope you will reinstate the article.

Amatae Adea

edit

I undid your last edit to Amatae Adea. While the author was wrong to remove the speedy deletion tag when they added the content in, it was also innapropriate of you to remove all of their content. The article now has content but the article does not assert any notability for the band so I tagged it for speedy deletion under a7. If you have any questions let me know. ~~ GB fan ~~ talk 14:49, 10 December 2009 (UTC)Reply

That is one of the reasons why I stopped using Huggle. It makes it to easy to revert to a state that doesn't really belong. My suggestion is to slow down and review what the article is being reverted to. ~~ GB fan ~~ talk 15:04, 10 December 2009 (UTC)Reply
I like Twinkle. When you are looking at diffs it gives some extra links to rollback the edits. The part I like about it you actually get to see what the editor changed and I don't have to download a new program. The downside is that it only works in certain browsers. It does not work in Microsft Internet Explorer. I know it works in Google Chrome and Firefox, I think it works in Opera and Safari. ~~ GB fan ~~ talk 15:17, 10 December 2009 (UTC)Reply

Editing on Palace page

edit

Hello, I was editing the 'India' section of the Palace page because it is clear marketing from the hotel or resorts in question, with unnecessary adjectives and a non-encyclopedic tone! As I seem to be unaware of the correct protocol to do this, maybe you could do it for me. The paragraphs in question have no place on the page, I'm sure you'll agree. 195.110.90.129 (talk) 18:34, 11 December 2009 (UTC)Reply

Catalan Culture Challenge

I've seen on your userpage that you speak Catalan: From March 16 to April 15 we will be organising the Catalan Culture Challenge, a Wikipedia editing contest in which victory will go to those who start and improve the greatest number of articles about 50 key figures of Catalan culture. You can take part by creating or expanding articles on these people in your native language (or any other one you speak). We look forward to seeing you! Special:WantedTemplates

edit

Hi, I have been cleaning up Special:WantedTemplates and noticed that Special:WhatLinksHere/Template:"_+_"oldafdfull"_+_" is pointing to your monobook.js pages. clearly these are false positives (basically a bug in how WP parses .js pages). it would be really great if you could add
// <syntaxhighlight lang=javascript> to the top and
// </syntaxhighlight> to the bottom of those pages. by putting these tags in comments, it won't prevent the javascript from executing, but it will remove those pages from Special:WhatLinksHere/Template:"_+_"oldafdfull"_+_". alternatively, if you are no longer using the monobook skin (many people are using vector these days) and don't need to keep the old page, you could just have the page deleted. thank you in advance for your help.
