List of United States political party platforms
- You made a comment a long time ago regarding the list of United States political party platforms, specifically the Democratic ones, regarding their length. While I have been on again off again for some time and essentially forgot about that page for a while, upon rediscovery I've been looking at a series of possible solutions, and the prominent one I am looking at is some sort of collapsible table which would each contain a single political platform per year. However I am not sure how I could structure such a table or if it is even possible while maintaining the platforms as they are. If workable it would certainly remove the issue of length and allow all the platforms to remain on the same page. --Ariostos (talk) 21:11, 22 January 2015 (UTC)
Reply -Please read MOS:CO. Even if collapsible tables were implemented, it would not reduce the article size. --Jax 0677 (talk) 02:00, 25 January 2015 (UTC)

Constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, but a recent edit of yours to the page Template:DHX Media has an edit summary that appears to be inaccurate or inappropriate. Please use edit summaries that accurately tell other editors what you did, and feel free to use the sandbox for any tests you may want to do. You may be blocked from editing without further warning the next time you disrupt Wikipedia. You said that there's a discussion about whether to include information about vandalism of Dimebag's grave. No, there is not. There is only instruction to you, as to how I stopped your WP:TENDENTIOUS campaign of repeatedly co-perpetrating a hoax which your own authored synthesis of your own given sources had already debunked. Initially citing a gossip site and Facebook posts. About which you have yet submitted no apology. There was no vandalism at his grave, there was only a piece of paper and a screenshot of a hoax story, and this is part of why Wikipedia is not a news site WP:NOTNEWS. That's in addition to the redirect you made of that non-notable band that you clumsily tried to make notable for having done nothing. And there's a specific policy that says a subject can not be considered notable just for having committed a crime -- which they didn't, as stated. So that's also improper creation of an article. You fanatically fell for a hoax, and you belligerently used three articles and two Talk pages, to perpetuate the victimization of the public including the institution of Wikipedia, against personal warnings and policy. As a result, there are now circulations of screenshots of Wikipedia's role in perpetuating this hoax by your hand. — Smuckola (Email) (Talk) 15:45, 1 March 2015 (UTC) — Smuckola (Email) (Talk) 15:45, 1 March 2015 (UTC)

Non-free rationale for File:Lido The Colourist EP.jpg
Thanks for uploading or contributing to File:Lido The Colourist EP.jpg. I notice the file page specifies that the file is being used under non-free content criteria, but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia is acceptable. Please go to the file description page, and edit it to include a non-free rationale.
If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified the non-free rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Speedy deletion nomination of Night Divine
If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Night Divine requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a band or musician, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. Speedy deletion nomination of Texoma Medical Center
If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Texoma Medical Center, requesting that it be deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under two or more of the criteria for speedy deletion, by which articles can be deleted at any time, without discussion. If the page meets any of these strictly-defined criteria, then it may be soon be deleted by an administrator. The reasons it has been tagged are:
- It seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. (See section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion.) Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Business for more information.
- It appears to be about a person, organization (band, club, company, etc.), individual animal, or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. (See section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion.) Such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.

Hey Jax, I wanted to say thanks for the work you've been doing on the Honeywell template. It's come a long way from how sparse it used to be. I was curious how you would feel (since you've been looking at this stuff pretty closely) about removing Electronics for Medicine from the list of subsidiaries? While I haven't done much research into the company, the Wiki article states that it was sold off to PPG Industries and is now defunct. Is it still appropriate to include here?
Also, since you've got some background working on Honeywell pages, I was wondering if you could help me update the annual financial data in the infobox there. I asked User:BilCat about it a couple of weeks ago, but I think he's been away for a while. The figures were updated to 2014 from 2013, but reverted for lack of a source. I checked out the numbers, and they were as reported in Honeywell's annual report here. If you've got the time, I'd really appreciate it. --FacultiesIntact (talk) 20:51, 27 May 2015 (UTC)

Replaceable fair use File:Gerry Dick.jpg
Thanks for uploading File:Gerry Dick.jpg. I noticed that this file is being used under a claim of fair use. However, I think that the way it is being used fails the first non-free content criterion. This criterion states that files used under claims of fair use may have no free equivalent; in other words, if the file could be adequately covered by a freely-licensed file or by text alone, then it may not be used on Wikipedia. If you believe this file is not replaceable, please:
- Go to the file description page and add the text
{{di-replaceable fair use disputed|<your reason>}}
below the original replaceable fair use template, replacing<your reason>
with a short explanation of why the file is not replaceable. - On the file discussion page, write a full explanation of why you believe the file is not replaceable.
Alternatively, you can also choose to replace this non-free media item by finding freely licensed media of the same subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or similar) media under a free license, or by creating new media yourself (for example, by taking your own photograph of the subject).
If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified how these media fully satisfy our non-free content criteria. You can find a list of description pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that even if you follow steps 1 and 2 above, non-free media which could be replaced by freely licensed alternatives will be deleted 2 days after this notification (7 days if uploaded before 13 July 2006), per the non-free content policy. The article 2015 Cairo bombing has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
- Page requires disambiguation, two bombings in Cairo this year, orphan page!
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. G8j!qKb (talk) 17:42, 14 July 2015 (UTC)
Speedy deletion nomination of Charles Bothuell V
If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Charles Bothuell V requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person, organization (band, club, company, etc.), web content or organised event, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia.
Dmol (talk) 02:21, 16 July 2015 (UTC)

Jax, if I have been having ongoing problems with a moderator, and efforts to work it out with said moderator have not been entirely productive, what is my next course of action? WP:DOB reads in part ..sources linked to the subject such that it may reasonably be inferred that the subject does not object. The members of the band have listed their full names and birth dates in various social media posts, therefore the presumption is they do not object to the information being public. DYK for J.C. Nicholson
On 2 September 2015, Did you know was updated with a fact from the article J.C. Nicholson, which you recently created, substantially expanded, or brought to good article status. The fact was ... that South Carolina Circuit Court judge J.C. Nicholson is the presiding judge for the trial of Dylann Roof, even though he officially retired in 2009? The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/J.C. Nicholson. You are welcome to check how many page hits the article got while on the front page (here's how, live views, daily totals), and it may be added to the statistics page if the total is over 5,000. Reverting NOG template
Hey Jax, I noticed that you reverted my Number One Gun template change which added the This Is All We Know album. You also reverted a similar change a year ago too. Unless I'm missing something, it seems like the album should be listed in the template even if there's no Wiki article to link to, as it is an official band release. What's the rationale here? D3PyroGS (talk) 08:13, 5 September 2015 (UTC)
- Reply - Most articles should be created before they are linked in a navbox. The exception is members of a band. --Jax 0677 (talk) 06:14, 6 September 2015 (UTC)
You clearly went a little overboard with the {{fact}} tags, don't you think? Things like the label generally do not need a specific citation in the infobox. Ten Pound Hammer • (What did I screw up now?) 00:44, 16 September 2015 (UTC)
- Reply - @TenPoundHammer:, at the time, the only items that were referenced were in the chart positions section. --Jax 0677 (talk) 13:33, 17 September 2015 (UTC)
- Then why put a {{fact}} on the label? That almost never needs a standalone citation. To your credit, the producer names were inaccurate, and I have remedied that. Ten Pound Hammer • (What did I screw up now?) 14:26, 17 September 2015 (UTC)
- Reply - This is why the {{CN}} tag is needed. --Jax 0677 (talk) 18:14, 17 September 2015 (UTC)
- I still think tagging the label with CN was overkill. The label shouldn't need a citation 99% of the time. Ten Pound Hammer • (What did I screw up now?) 22:51, 17 September 2015 (UTC)
- Reply - @TenPoundHammer:, some albums seem to have two or more labels associated with them. If the source is easy to find, placing it within the article is a no brainer. If it is difficult to find, then the label listed in the article may be wrong. --Jax 0677 (talk) 16:56, 24 September 2015 (UTC)

Editing of Pentatonix Page
Hi! My name is Amishnarrich. I've noticed that you have reverted my edit concerning the amount of albums that Pentatonix has created. You state that Pentatonix has created 4 studio albums. I state that Pentatonix has only created 3. The reason is because I checked the album source. It was a Facebook page. As far as I could tell, the album was merely a compilation that only was sold in Germany. In addition, articles and interviews with Pentatonix say they have only created 3 studio albums. I can send you articles if you like as proof. If you have more sources or other reasons, I would love to discuss them, rather than just reverting each other's edits.
Thanks for reading this, and I honestly hope you are having a good day. Amishnarrich (talk) 04:54, 17 October 2015 (UTC)
- Reply - @Amishnarrich: not true, as there are four sources under "Chart positions" that state that this is an album, and has been ranked as such. Furthermore, a navigation box is designed to connect all existing articles of Pentatonix albums, which at this time includes PTX. Whether this album should have an article at all should be determined at WP:AFD. If this article exists and should be placed under a row for "related" articles or for a different type of album, then so be it. --Jax 0677 (talk) 14:24, 17 October 2015 (UTC)
