Speedy deletion of Margaret skinnider
editA tag has been placed on Margaret skinnider requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about about a person, organization (band, club, company, etc.) or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}}
to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the article does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the article or have a copy emailed to you. Image copyright problem with File:DunedinClubCrest.png
editThanks for uploading File:DunedinClubCrest.png. You've indicated that the image is being used under a claim of fair use, but you have not provided an adequate explanation for why it meets Wikipedia's requirements for such images. In particular, for each page the image is used on, the image must have an explanation linking to that page which explains why it needs to be used on that page. Can you please check
- That there is a non-free use rationale on the image's description page for each article the image is used in.
- That every article it is used on is linked to from its description page.
This is an automated notice by FairuseBot. For assistance on the image use policy, see Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. --FairuseBot (talk) 00:41, 8 February 2009 (UTC)
Fair use rationale for File:Scotrailbc.jpg
editThanks for uploading File:Scotrailbc.jpg. You've indicated that the image meets Wikipedia's criteria for non-free content, but there is no explanation of why it meets those criteria. Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. If you have any questions, please post them at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions.
Thank you for your cooperation. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. STBotI (talk) 22:26, 22 February 2009 (UTC)
I notice that this category you created is unpopulated (empty). In other words, no Wikipedia pages belong to it. If it remains unpopulated for four days, it may be deleted, without discussion, in accordance with Wikipedia:Criteria for speedy deletion#C1. I'm notifying you in case you wish to (re-)populate it by adding [[Category:Coatbridge irish]] to articles/categories that belong in it.
I blanked the category page. This will not, in itself, cause the category to be deleted. It serves to document (in the page history) that the category was empty at the time of blanking and also to alert other watchers that the category is in jeopardy. You are welcome to revert the blanking if you wish. However, doing so will not prevent deletion if the category remains empty.
If you created the category in error, or it is no longer needed, you can speed up the deletion process by tagging it with {{db-author}}.
Contact me if you have questions about this. Best regards, --Stepheng3 (talk) 18:34, 27 February 2009 (UTC)

Thank you for your cooperation. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. STBotI (talk) 22:21, 14 March 2009 (UTC)
Proposed deletion of Kirkshaws
editA proposed deletion template has been added to the article Kirkshaws, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process because of the following concern:
- non-notable location
All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}}
notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page.
Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised because, even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. Ironholds (talk) 02:21, 18 April 2009 (UTC)
Anyone who thinks the people's republic of Kirkshaws is a non-notable location needs to be detained and interviewed by trained psychiatric staff. See you in court. Jayhoolihan (talk) 21:29, 24 April 2009 (UTC)
Photos of Coatbridge
editHi Jayhoolihan, I noticed you had taken a few pictures in Coastbridge. I was looking for a public-domain image of Coatbridge War Memorial, for a future article on Edith Burnet Hughes, Britain's first practising woman architect, who designed it. If there's any chance you are taking more Coatbridge pictures in future, a snap of the memorial would be much appreciated (its on the corner of Blair Road and Bank Street). Non-PD picture here. Many thanks, Jonathan Oldenbuck (talk) 14:38, 5 May 2009 (UTC)

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. MfD nomination of Portal:Coatbridge
editPortal:Coatbridge, a page which you created or substantially contributed to, has been nominated for deletion. Your opinions on the matter are welcome; you may participate in the discussion by adding your comments at Wikipedia:Miscellany for deletion/Portal:Coatbridge and please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~). You are free to edit the content of Portal:Coatbridge during the discussion but should not remove the miscellany for deletion template from the top of the page; such a removal will not end the deletion discussion. Thank you. BrownHairedGirl (talk) • (contribs) 12:33, 4 May 2019 (UTC)
The file File:Gartsherrie2.jpg has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
Invalid PD-art, this isn't just a reproduction of a 2D piece of art, the photograph captures content to the right of the painting, and the painting itself has a 3D frame. Even if you were to crop the painting, the reflections caused by the glass would create originality in the photo.
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated files}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the file's talk page.
Please consider addressing the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated files}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and files for discussion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Dylsss(talk contribs) 16:37, 8 May 2021 (UTC)
