Recent edits to London Knights

You recently added File:2019 London Knights Logo.png to the London Knights article, and claimed that you personally created the logo and have the right to release it from copyright. Thanks for the reply. It is best to keep the whole discussion on the same page, so I have moved it here. As for the logo, we will need to delete the image on the commons and reload it to Wikipedia with a proper copyright license. Since you work for the team directly, I assume you can have limited use of the logo, but uploading it as your own is not entirely correct. Basically, because the team and/or league controls the copyright, it needs a difference license. Also, you might be perceived to have a conflict of interest in editing the article directly. I will seek advice here, and have another editor contact you here. If you don't mind waiting until later tonight or the morning, I can fix the logo for you. Thanks. Hi Jaymcarth and welcome to Wikipedia. My name is HickoryOughtShirt?4 and I am an administrator on Wikipedia. I first want to thank you for trying to improve the accuracy of Wikipedia. While Wikipedia is the Encyclopedia anyone can edit, we do have a few policies and regulation you might not have known about. I must first say that you must disclose your conflict of interest on your user page (red link where your username is). You do so by following the guidelines at WP:DISCLOSE. Secondly, it is advised you avoid editing articles about yourself, your family, friends, company, organization or competitors. This is because it affects the neutrality of the article. If you wish to make substantial edits, you should use an edit request format. An experienced editor will review it and if it is neutrally worded (per WP:NPOV) and well sourced (WP:RS) it will likely be accepted. If not, the editor will explain why in detail. Speaking frankly, us volunteer editors often resent that paid or conflict of interest editors write non-neutrally, displaying obvious bias toward themselves or their clients, and write promotionally. A neutral point of view is one of the five pillars of Wikipedia, and is non-negotiable. Hopefully this helped you. I suggest browsing our COI guideline page as well. Hey everyone. Thank you for the help with this. My apologies for the way this was added - my perception of the process was clearly wrong. Flibrigit, if you are able to fix this yourself that would be fantastic. I am still learning regarding the world of Wikipedia and how edits work. In the changes I made, I included the new accurate colour codes (FF#) issued from the team. Thank you on behalf of the organization for helping us to keep everything accurate! Are you able to use the previous uploads' resolution? I understand that file will have to be deleted due to the way it was uploaded, but the resolution, especially as a preview in "Siri Knowledge" for Apple devices, is not the best. Unfortunately no, copyright logos must be a low resolution to adhere to fair use regulations. Basically, a high resoultion image would allow anyone to copy it, and use it to represent themselves on behalf of the team and or league which could lead to a lawsuit.
